Im on Valefor. I partied with a paladin lvl 28 that used a shock spear/kite shield combo/// I thought spears were 2 handed... am i wrong? I have screenshots if any wants an email at their @pol.com address.
Yes you are wrong.
Some are 2-hand piercing, many, probably most, are not.
Many shaman use a spear and shield. Their Epic is a one-handed spear.
Use the equipment search here and look under Piercing (which is separated from 2H-piercing) you will see many spears. If you restrict it to paladin-usable then the list shortens a lot but there are still several options.
It is probably true that a paladin will get better mileage from 2-H Piercing but there are plenty of options if they want 1H.

That'd be cool to have, a spear/sheild combo. It'd look awesome and you could give an order like "Set spears! Raise sheilds! Prepare to recieve charge!" that'd be so much fun to rp.

May I point out that Levanttwo isn't playing EverQuest? =) The comments about the shaman epic apply to EverQuest; I'm not sure other games even have shamans, let alone epics.
At least, I've never heard of a Valefor server in EQ. I believe Valefor is an FFXI server, but I'm not positive.

I just assumed he couldn't spell his own server name, or that Ubisoft had put up a new one. Never thought he might be in the wrong forum.
