Pepsi man punches out Coke man during delivery
Friday, October 12, 2007
By Torsten Ove, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Pepsi has been trying to best Coke for years in the world-wide cola war, but Pepsi seems to have landed a blow in a hinterlands skirmish recently at a Wal-Mart in Indiana County.

An employee from each company was delivering products to the Wal-Mart on Oakland Avenue in White Township on Monday morning and "apparently bickering back and forth" as they worked, state police said. It's not clear exactly what the bickering was about, but as the Coke employee left the store, the Pepsi guy called him over to the side of the Wal-Mart.

There, police said, he "punched the victim three times in the face," breaking his nose and giving him a black eye.

Police did not identify the Pepsi man except to say he is a "known suspect." Troopers didn't say if charges have been filed, although they characterized the incident as a simple assault, a misdemeanor.

The Coke man, Robert Koscho, 48, of Ebensburg, said Coke told him he wasn't allowed to talk about the case.

I guess this settles the debate.

This is the conversation they were having. Oddly enough, it had nothing to do with soda.

I had Coke made with cane sugar (like in the old days here in the US) while on honeymoon in Italy. It was plenty tasty.

Also the Fanta was a pale yellow/orange rather than flourescent.

To be honest, I don't really prefer either. They sell Sun Drop around here, and it pretty much covers all of my soda needs.

Every now and then I'll drink IBC root beer, but that's about as far as I go with the sugary drinks.

It tastes a heck of a lot better (I only like actual Pepsi not Pepsi sponsored line products such as Mountain Dew). That Halo 3 Mountain Dew was DISGUSTING!!

I've never had either, I just assumed. You know, same bottling company, suddenly a popular soda disappears off of the face of the Earth, then a few years later a soda that shares a color with it pops up under a different name...

Weird.

Smiley: nod That's why I liked it.

You know how when you're outside in the heat doing manual labor or something and the only thing you want is a nice, ice-cold gallon of water? That's how I felt about Surge.

It didn't leave that dry/sticky feeling in your mouth that other sodas do.

If you ask me to help you build something, I say "yes" before my brain even has time to process the question. There's just something about putting every ounce of energy I have into something then looking at it at the end of the day.. and seeing everything I've accomplished that just makes me feel all happy inside.

coke > pepsi
anytime, anywhere.

Pepsi tried to hard to get people to drink their cola.
I've not seen one ad by Pepsi that doesn't slam Coke.
Coke's the fell good cola, and it taste better imo.
All pepsi (the company) is good for is Mt. Dew.
