I simply start commenting rather conspicuous like that we should have gone somewhere where the patrons had a bit more class.

Eh, after they left it was totally fine.

I hate that place. I had a sampler plate there once.. stuffed peppers, Italian sausage, and something they tried to pass of as lasagna, if I recall correctly. It was far too much flavor for my taste, borderline offensive even.

I would probably sit there and fantasize about cutting out their tongues with my steak knife. Then I would pretend my steak was their big collective tongue and cut it up and eat it, savoring the sweet juices.

Is people talking a little loud in a restaurant a problem? Aren't you there to have fun and see people? Or maybe it's just what I'm used to?

I would ignore it but you said a little bit too loud. Define a little bit. Some places are just noisy. If they were extremely loud I probably would have chosen one you didn't have listed, ask to be moved.

If I'm alone I wouldn't care because my mind would be wrapped up in fantasies where I have superpowers and things and going back in time and stuff. But if I was on a date I'd tell them to pipe down. Then after they did I'd lean on my table with my forearms and flex my biceps making sure my date saw my biceps and knew that I was a good date.

It was a problem for a semi drunk member of our family that started being beligerent. Several times the member started talking loudly after we asked her not to say anything to the other patrons.

I wasn't the person that had the problem with it, if you actually read the posts.

Well, in the first post with the poll you seemed kind of mad about it. What did you do, or whoever was having the problem, do?

The other party left and problem was over.

Any noise that is not physically damaging is tolerable to me. However if a friend of mine politely asked them to stop and they refused, then they have extended an open invitation to any sort of retaliation. Anywhere from making comments about how I saw "that guy" on Cheaters (assuming it looked like a date) to mentioning how I am being blinded by the light form their bald friend's head.

I would ignore them unless i was with the wife, in that situation i would ask the manager to move US and let them get on with enjoying themselves.

Get the manager

Yup, then that way they can be told to STFU by the manager and I wouldn't get dirty looks from them if I was the one to say it. Then if they throw a fit, the can be the ones kicked out.

I'll ask them to keep it down some. If they cant do that?
I get the manager and either move tables away or see if he cant get them to be civil. I cam to eat a nice dinner not to hear Buttwhipes rampage and make me miserable.
