Those of you who are computer or mechanical engineers may already be familiar with the substance, still this is one of the most interesting materials science has yet to produce.

Ferrofluids are simply tiny ferromagnetic particles held in liquid suspension. This gives the substance most of the properties of a standard fluid with the added ability to be easily influence by a magnetic field.

Applciations include near frictionless surfaces with the added of a strong magnet, radar absorbent paint, and of course dynamic sculptures.

This is the kind of stuff they need to show kids to increase interest in math and science.

That stuff is fun to play with, they have a big vat of it at the oregon museum of Science and industry that they let people play with. you can make your own, though it is somewhat smelly and flammible. http://chemistry.about.com/od/demonstrationsexperiments/ss/liquidmagnet.htm

We're not going to go there anymore. They have both been instructed not to start it up again, please leave it alone.

Not being an ***, I swear, but is it just the phonecall that's off-limits?

I mean, can I still make really distasteful and obvious jokes about their molestation?

Because, well, it's kind of what I do.

At very least, for the next week or so there needs to be a stepping back on that topic. Thank you for your cooperation.

Yeah because if someone called your mom I'm sure there would be no punishment. Much less calling your mom and saying that you're a murderer.

Understood, and thank you Allegory, for linking this video. Never seen the stuff before, and it's quite fassinating to watch.

I have nothing of meaning to add. This could be a tough week.

Both parties are aware of the legal implications of their posts and the options they can persue should they so choose. Should any further action or punishment occur it should take place in the legal venue. Not on these forums.

Given the potential legal aspect of this incident, I would really, really like you to please work with me on this one.

Kaolian if you are asking them to step back because you feel it is disruptive to the rest of the forum then that is fine. However if you are doing so out of any concern for me then I assure you it is unnecessary; no comments will now bother me.

I will not give in to any antagonism.

Very nice thing Allegory. I also remember you talking about some Aero-thingie that was pretty nice too. You've got a knack at discovering stuff like that I guess. Or just intelligent. I'll go with the first one though. Smiley: lol

It is not just you or Usagichan. My concern is for the forum itself. There are legal implications here that could be a concern down the line for other users commenting on this, in posts or PM, should this incident go to trial. Yes I am being deliberatly vague here. But please, bear with me on this.
