I didn't know to talk to the Crier first so I got the quest at level 6 instead of 5. Ormgarth conned blue to me and the snakes all were grey. I killed all the snakes I could find before going after Ormgarth and STILL several snakes came to his aid. I died twice. On the second time I killed Ormgarth at the same time he killed me. I went back for the loot and got two items. The Snake Charm which gave me 1 hit point and a Snake Head Necklace that gave me +3 Constitution (not +2 as I was expecting) I lucked out I guess.
