I am level 36 Thane- this is my first char in DAoC. I missed out on the Taldos/red dagger etc... can I still get them? or am I ... out of luck?

He is where the description says he is. It's best to go looking at night (set off about 10pm) and you should see him stood with his mates.

Quest is given after Taldos. You go to the Thane trainer in Jordheim to begin. The quest is 6 steps long and is called "The Red Daggers" quest.

Taldos can be found along the mountains leaving Galplen, to the right of the road. He spawns between Midnight and 6am near a tree. Speak to him, don't attack him.

Red Daggers quest is given at 15th level and will have you travel between Jordhiem and Gna Faste.
