Does NOT grant new spells

This item is not able to grant new spells.

The +void that is grants works towards the spells effectiveness (and I think may also have something to do with mana consumption). I know this becuase at lvl 45 my void is maxed at 45 and I have +10 from items. This would put my void skill up to lvl 55, however I still do not have my lvl 46 bolt spell (I am lvl 45).

You have to train to get spells.
Enough

Gives bonus to Damage (making your effectiveness higher with void) and raises the dificulty of having it resisted (if ever so slightly)

it does not give you new spells, i have checked with many peeps, but it DOES affect resistance to spells, and spell dmg it's nice :)

While it does add to your total damage (ie skill), if your new skill lvl (with the item on) is enough to warrant you getting new spells it will give you them. It's just like the Caster staffs that add to your skills depending on what kind you are using.

ok, dude, it does not give you new spells, adding skill to your magic skills does this: If your skill level of the damage spell cast vs the level of the target isnt = to or greater than the targets level, you do less damage, if its higher than its level you do more damage, so if you are grouped fighting purples a lot or reds, having +4 or 5 in your skill will enable you to, when you do hit and dont get resist, do good damage, elsewise you hit for much less damage vs higher level things, and to things yellow to you, you will cap damage, and that is how that works....as for resists they may have some skill lvl built in it, i think mainly for non damage spells ie mez, but not much if any, resists are simply your level vs targets lvl, oh and in the damage dealt part, int does play a factor but i dont know the multipliers...as for the staff focus it works like this, if the spell you cast is the level or under of the focus of that type of magic on your staff, then you take 80% mana cost to cast it, if its above the focus, full cost. now that its all straight...
this they do

Void

If your an Eldritch, it adds to your Void spell lvl. And yes, it does add spells to your list if your lvl goes up to the next spell set.

Anyway, I noticed alot on new Eldrtich stuff added today. Anyone know what quests these were obtained from, or where it started?

To my knowledge there is no item in any of the realms that gives you access to spec only spells that you haven't trained up to. That is, if you cant see the spell in your list before you have this item you wont see it aftewards either.
The plus to Void skill affects both damage and resist rates, from what I can tell. Hope this helps. Cheers!

The Necklace and the Sash are the first two rewards from the Eldritch epic quest. Starts at level 15. Can't remember how I got the Charm. May have been the level 11 quest.

What do the Void Magic bonus points do? Add to your skill level? Are you gonna get new spells from this?
