RequiredYou can use the obelisk to go directly to the Crypt.
1st time you click on it, the obelisk becomes "activated". From then on it will ask you if you want teleporting to the Crypt. So if you teleport directly to the Crypt, you can then leave the Crypt via the tunnels into the Aqueducts to go to Staarzi and avoid all the mobs.

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Brief walkthrough: 1) Speak with Arioc at loc=21816,11846 in the Roman Aqueducts. 2) /USE the Arioc's Map from Arioc 3) Travel to loc=16811,34302 Roman Aqueducts and hand Staarzi the Box of Soul Orbs from Arioc. 4) Talk with her for your reward. level 5 received 50 copper and 405 experience. Dialog from the quest: Speak with Arioc at loc=21816,11846,16958 dir=290 in the Roman Aqueducts. Arioc looks up from two glowing crystal orbs he is slowly spinning in one hand. Arioc says, "They are fascinating, these soul orbs. They contain bits and pieces of tenebrae that we have captured here in the Aqueducts. I have trapped them in these orbs so that others in the Crypt may study them and learn more of them. But now these orbs [are full] and they must be delivered." Arioc says, "Ah, I wish I could keep them, but I know that Staarzi is awaiting them. She is not the one who studies them but simply the one who will carry them into the Crypt. It has been so long since I have seen my home, but my lord Arawn has ordered me to remain here and [collect more] bits of tenebrae." Arioc gently holds one orb while spinning the other upon his fingertip. Arioc says, "My order from my lord is specific. I am to remain here and fill more orbs, and yet I must deliver the full ones. I am not one to question my lord Arawn's orders, but how am I to accomplish both? Perhaps there is [a solution] after all." Arioc says, "You are young, Paladin, but I believe I can trust you to carry these orbs to Staarzi. I shall warn you the way to Staarzi is long, but you will be compensated for your help. If you are interested, simply [let me know]." Arioc glances casually at you while spinning the orbs in one hand again. Will you carry Arioc's Soul Orbs to Starrzi? [Levels 3-6] You have been given the Arioc's Delivery quest. [Step #1] Speak with Arioc to learn what you must do. Arioc says, "You are kind, Paladin, as I suspected you would be. I will place the orbs into a box to keep them safe. I also have a map for you, Paladin. It shall [guide you] through the maze of these Aqueducts to reach Staarzi." Arioc says, "I suggest staying to the middle of the water in these tunnels, Paladin, rather than to the edges. There are evil things that dwell in these Aqueducts that would feast upon your bones if they were given the chance. But fear not, once you reach Staarzi and deliver [this box], she will see that you return to me safely if you wish." Arioc places the orbs gently in a metal box then locks it. Arioc says, "Here is the box and the map I spoke of that will guide you through this maze. Do not delay in getting the box to Staarzi." You receive a Box of Soul Orbs from Arioc! You receive Arioc's Map from Arioc! [Step #2] /USE Arioc's Map to find your way to Staarzi. (To /use an item, right-click on it and type /use).
[Step #3] Give the Box of Soul Orbs to Staarzi. Staarzi says, "Ah, these are the orbs from Arioc. I am so glad that he was able to find someone to carry them to me. I know that those in the Crypt are awaiting them. Here, for your service, please take these coins. Now, Paladin, I have a question [to ask you]." Staarzi takes out a key and unlocks the metal box. You are awarded 405 experience! You are awarded 50 copper! [Step #4] Speak with Staarzi and let her know what [your choice] is. Staarzi says, "The way here was very dangerous, and I would not have you risk yourself unnecessarily. If you wish to continue on to the Crypt, you must simply continue south from here. If you wish to return to the area near Arioc, I can do this for you. Of course, you can always choose to make your way back on your own. But you must make [your choice] now." Staarzi says, "Know that once your choice is made, you cannot change it. So, Paladin, do you wish to [return to] the area near Arioc or would you like to go your [own way]?" Staarzi says, "So be it! You shall be returned!" You have finished the Arioc's Delivery quest. (coin and experience was earned by a level 5) |

The quest itself isn't too bad, but you have to go through a lot of high level aggro mobs to get to Staarzi.
If you stick to the very middle of the road and are lucky, you might not die on the way there.
The only benefit to doing this quest is it gets you most of the way to the entrance to the Inconnu Crypt, so, providing you click on the obilisk before you fall down the drain, you can go there to train and use the merchants.
