DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different If you are under level 24 when you take this quest, you may want bring along a friend to help you out. by: Amarill of Mordred Cuzbin (located at the zone in from the Inconnu Crypt to the Deadlands of Annwn) sends you to retrieve the phylactery from three spirits. Calum is directly South of Cuzbin standing beside a crypt at 30.3k, 15.9k. Alphonse is South, Southeast of Calum inside a small shrine (34k, 23k). Salome Igara is East of Cuzbin in the zone corner at 35k, 9.5k. All spirits conned gray to me with no adds. Level 36 received 18,165,444 exp. & 98 silver. by: Maia Brief Walkthrough: 1) Speak with Cuzbin at loc=32231,9258 Deadlands of Annwn. 2) Kill Calum Strathers, near loc=31060,15868 Deadlands of Annwn, for his phylactery. 3) Kill Alphonse DeMettie, near loc=34366,23042 Deadlands of Annwn, for his phylactery. 4) Kill Salome Igara, near loc=36059,9261 Deadlands of Annwn, for her phylactery. 5) Return to Cuzbin and hand him the phylacteries when he asks for them in order to receive your reward. lvl 24 received 6,000,000 experience, 98 silver and Cardras' Amethyst Brooch. Dialog from quest: Speak with Cuzbin at loc=32231,9258,15879 dir=253 Deadlands of Annwn. Cuzbin says, "You couldn't have come at a better time (your name). We have been seeking aid against the forces arrayed against us in the [Deadlands]." Cuzbin says, "I can't believe you don't know of the Deadlands of Annwn. The lands you see before you are the Deadlands. However, it did not always appear this way. In its original form, the Deadlands were a place of [darkness and void]." Cuzbin says, "The spirits were not happy with this. Many, after passing through the Crypt on the way to the Deadlands, became restless and jealous. Lord Arawn saw this and [confronted] the spirits." Cuzbin says, "He saw the unhappiness in the spirits and offered them a special place. He gave one condition though. None of the spirits could complain about this new place or he would take it away. Needless to say, the spirits agreed to this, so with a wave of his mighty hand, Lord Arawn gave form to the Deadlands. He gave the dead their own [graveyard]." Cuzbin says, "The dead were not happy, but none of them spoke their displeasure. Now however, they have started [turning] against our great lord as if being goaded by some unseen force." Cuzbin says, "Some of the dead seemed rather eager to turn. Chief amongst them are the spirits of three dead heroes of old. Will you assist us in taking care of these three spirits?" Will you assist Cuzbin with the spirit problem? [Level 22] You have been given the The Turned Dead quest. Cuzbin says, "Thank you (your name). The three spirits are Calum Strathers, Salome Igara, and Alphonse DeMettie. Calum is directly to the south, Alphonse is to the southeast of Calum and Salome is in the northeast corner of the Deadlands. The spirits each hold a phylactery. Please bring all three of them to me after you have dispatched the spirits." [Step #1] Proceed to the column directly south of the entrance to the Crypt. Calum is somewhere around the column. Kill him and retrieve his phylactery. [Step #2] Proceed south southeast from where you found Calum. You will find Alphonse standing in a shrine. Kill him and retrieve his phylactery. [Step #3] Proceed to the northeast corner of the Deadlands. There, you will find Salome Igara. Kill her and retrieve her phylactery. [Step #4] Return to Cuzbin with the phylacteries. He is near the entrance to the crypt. Hand him a phylactery when he asks for it. Cuzbin says, "Looks like you fared well against the three spirits. Please hand me Calum's Phylactery." Cuzbin says, "It truly is a shame that a knight such as Calum turned away from the order of things and now serves a power bent on destruction. Once his light shown brightly. He was a renowned knight from a mighty house. He won many tournaments, saved a fair maiden or two, and he even slew a dragon. Now though, Calum will be forgotten as his essence in this phylactery is sent on to oblivion. Hand me Alphonse's Phylactery now please." [Step #4] Hand Alphonse's Phylactery to Cuzbin. Cuzbin says, "What can I say about Alphonse. He is the father of the cabalists in Albion. He brought the knowledge of cabalistic magic to Albion. Such power, such stupidity for turning his back to Lord Arawn. Hand me Salome's Phylactery now please." [Step #4] Hand Salome's Phylactery to Cuzbin. Cuzbin says, "Salome Igara, the lives that she saved in her duties to Albion. It is such a shame that they will forget here exploits soon enough. No one will remember that she infiltrated the camp of a Midgard war party and brought back their battle plans. None, not even those she risked her life to help will remember her. You see, once a spirits essence is sent to oblivion, all memory of that person disappears. This is their punishment for daring to oppose Lord Arawn. Here is your reward (your name)." You receive the Cardras' Amethyst Brooch from Cuzbin! You are awarded 6,000,000 experience! You are awarded 98 silver and some copper! You have completed the The Turned Dead quest! Reward: |

RequiredIf you run S along the east side of the map you will find the shrine for Alphonse about 1/2 way down the map. This avoids the purple mobs and Salome will be in the corner on the way back.

Because of all the red/purple aggro, I had to do a scouting mission with a level 50 to find all the monsters I needed to kill.
