Cheshire One Time Drop

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Kill Cheshire, a named cat. The first lake from the Keep has at one end a band of Howlers (Maidens-yellow and orange, Knifemen-orange and red @ 25) and Arwanites (all purple) near the shore. Cheshire pops in and around these two camps. As far as I can tell there are no place holders. I discovered him in the water going SW. He conned yellow at 25 and was no problem solo. Be very careful! The Arwanites have a rather LARGE agro radius. He drops Cat Hide Boots. Cheshire is found in the area of the howling knifemen and maidens. 2500, 40000 (New Frontiers loc=32000, 52000 Snowdonia.) Be aware that if Grunge (the big pig) or a single rock bounder is wandering that area, Cheshire will NOT spawn! The reverse is also true for Grunge, while Cheshire is around. You must get rid of the brown rock bounder and/or Grunge before finding Cheshire. This statement has been proven wrong, they can both be up at the same time. =) Typically, Cheshire wanders on the hillside between the howling minions and the Arawnites. He will never go into the camps bordered by the headman's poles, so you should be relative safe from the Arawanites. Just be careful. Rewards: |

Just killed it, was oj for lvl 22 minstrel.. Leather drop though :-( passed those boots to some fellwo infil

i have never been able to find this mob. several game days spent checking all these areas, many bounders dead and i even cleared grunge 3 times.... no cheshire. i think this spawn is dead.

Found this cat right under the big hill outside Snowdonia Fortress. I did not have to kill anything. Just dropped down while running somewhere else. Whoosh bang he was dead.

I have killed more bounders than I can count, I have killed tusker, and every other pig and bounder in the area. I have searched every listed location that is given, I have waited day and night. I am going to go insane if I do not find this pos cheshire.
What a waste of time so far, I do not believe such a mob exists. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

After some serious looking (several levels).
I searched all locations mentioned here, lake, howler and arawnite camps, the slope in front of the tower. Good hunting with those faerie frogs.
Not sure if this triggered the spawn or not... I killed every single one of the small bounders that are on that plateau just inside the Snowdonia Fortress. Waited til they started to respawn and killed a few more.
THEN I ran over to the front of the slope in front of the tower, mentioned by others here, and there he was, running toward me!
I killed him at approx. 35000, 29000.
Perhaps killing all those bounders got him going. I had checked that spot earlier and had hunted it quite a lot just before going back to bounders. Hope this helps!
I can't even wear the leather boots. But I love quests!

Found him on Hill by Tower overlooking lake at 33k, 39k, 5k on side of hill. He wandered all over the place, down to lake, thru Howlers, then back up hill. He was yellow to me at 24. I had been hunting the few yellow con Howlers and looked up on hill and there he was, had been looking for a weak off and on. No trigger spawn, just random. Killed with a friend that ran up from camelot. We both got boots.

Just found him on the front left side of the hill with the guard tower coming from Snowdonia. Approx. Loc is: 29927 x 38935. Also Stats are Dex 13 Stealth 2, musta changed them again.

Anar and i (Maggrig) found him near the Howlers and Grundge, he conned orange to a lvl 22. We think that he spawns after killing rock bounders, We killed about 6 or 7 before we found him, we groupped and both got them if there is any wonders there YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Watch out. Just spent 30 minutes out here running around killing bounders trying to see if Chesire would spawn. Purple@29 corpse eating sow just killed me. Thought I would let you guys know to watch out ... out here.

This cat does seem to roam a bit. I found the little bugger at the top of a peak, near the snowline, close to the guard tower. Go out main door of snowdonia fortress and stay in straight line until you see him. Was very easy kill for a level 24 infil (conned yellow), and the only other creatures in the area were a few bwaca, which are neutral to me. The boots are pretty sweet. anything that adds two to stealth is worth searching for.

More deails...After 3 days I finally narrowed down his location. OK. From what I understand Chesire is a rock bounder found near the first lake as you exit Snow Fort. It is said to be lvl 33 and will spawn after you kill a few other rock bounders. Rare spawn.
