DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different *You must have completed Copious Striders quest first. Talk to Alomali (Vasudheim), Alomali will tell you to go see Lilib. Lilib is located inside the Fort right before you enter Dvalin. Lilib asks you to kill Klippa, a named crab that spawns just East of the Ant camp (the Ant camp is just East of the Fort you talked to Lilib in). There is a set of 2 crabs that spawn here just keep killing them until Klippa spawns (Klippa seems to spawn at night and seen in and around loc=21100, 51000). Lilib will tell you to go across the bridge to find Klippa but this is wrong, just stick to the 2 spawn crabs near the ant camp. After you have killed Klippa you will have Klippa's Claw in your inventory. Return Klippa's Claw to Lilib and you will recieve a short sword named Klippor as your reward. Alomali says, "Hail! I have [news] for you." You have been given the Klippa's Claw quest. Alomali says, "There is a smith to the west that I know well. I have asked him if he could make a special item for you. He says he is [willing]." Alomali says, "Aye, he goes by the name of Lilib. Seek him out and tell him I sent you." {Step #1] Speak to Lilib. Tell him Alomali sent you. You say, "Alomali sent me." Lilib ponders for a moment. [Step #2] Locate Klippa and kill her. Return quickly so as to bring Lilib the still fresh claw. You may be asked to kill Riv, Klippa's mate, who spawns across the water from Klippa on an island. The reward for this is the Riva, a chain tunic. Found Klippa at 20.900 and 51.000 at 7.40 PM. (another Klippa loc=16170, 47453 around 4:45am) Found Riv at 20.500 and 46.000 at 10 PM. lvl 11 received 7,240 experience. \n |

Klippa was waiting for me when I got there and I took her out with no trouble at all, but it took a long time to get a spawn of Riv. I wasn't clearing the other crabs because they were tough for me as an 11 warlock. Instead I killed blue mobs in the area and kept checking back. Eventually he showed up exactly where people say, on the peninsular piece of land north of Klippa among the trees.
Level 11 was rewarded 7,240 experience, no coins, and Riva.
THe best spot to find Klippa is at 21100, 51000
There are 2 place holder Spiny Rock Crabs, just kill them till she spawns.

This quest can be completed by the Savage class!
You can be given both the sword and the chain armor but Savages can't wear the armor.

Im a Shaman i only want to get the Chain Tunic. But it seems along with other NPCs klippa has vanished. I've killed the thing before on my skald but can't find it.

Klippa spawned at 20430,50950 after 6:30p game time.

hrrm, for some odd reason, i saw her just north of the bridge at about 25k 50k at 6 am game time. Never seen her there before

After kill kippa and return to Lilib, I got the sword. Then go the Isalnd forward where ya got Kippa and KILL Riv. Return to Kippa then Ya should able to get AF30 hp15 chain BP.

I got the strider quest at lvl 10, and klippa quest shortly afetr that. I just can't find the little ****** I followed all the directions given here and still SQUAT!

Ok Im a 11 Dwarf Thane trying to get the chain hauberk. I got Klippa's claw, let Riv kill me, but my journal still says to return it. It's supposed to say its rotten is what I thought. I killed Riv before turning the claw in but after getting it and got nothing. Should I turn in Klippa's Claw or die agian? Thanks in advance.

If you are having trouble getting Lilib to acknowledge you target him and /whisper alomali
This is what I have had to do where names in the quest log are in brackets. the log should say tell so and so that [name of person sending you to so and so] sent you. I take that to mean you actually have to tell the person something. It's worked for me on this queest and another which I can't seem to recall at the moment!

I found Riv, the crab you need for this quest, at night at Pos 20.45k, pos 46.1k in E. Svealand, near a tree on the ridge of the thin peninusla that was already described; the guard tower is in view of the spot, to the south-southwest. Siv Alfevson -- a friendly nordic ghost type -- wanders in this area. I killed Riv twice in the same night, finding him in exactly the same spot. He did not drop the claw the first two times I met up with him, even though I double checked my inventory and I had room for the claw each time. It is possible that each of those times my pet killed Riv, so back your pets off when you have him, hunters.

Okay; the info I posted here is messed up, but only a little. You need to find Klippa first, but when I did this quest, my journal told me to get Riv -- her mate -- at step one. Having killed Riv repeatedly for nought, I swam to Dvalin to sell stuff, and I ACCIDENTALLY ran into Klippa. ( From the spot where Riv spawns, go in a direct line to Dvalin, and you will see her AT NIGHT on the opposite bank. She has two spindly's with her, but I managed to get her alone with an arrow ). When I killed her, I got her claw. When I turned in her claw, I got a decent sword with pluses to sword use and parrying. Lilib then sent me back out to kill Riv. The only info I have to add here is that the reward for killing Riv is a chain tunic, but don't let that put you off if you can't wear it. When I got the tunic from Lilib, I also got one point of dex and one point of quickness PERMANENTLY. =P

The ant camp is NOT east of the fort.. the road leads east.. but the ants are North east!!!.. and riv spawns ACROSS the water on the thin penninsula. Thus the ants are NOT east of the fort.. but it is right about klippa spawning east of the ants.. on the shore :)

when you talk to Lilib... he won't say anything until you '/say Alomali sent me' ... it's in the quest directions but some people don't take things literally enough

Where is Klippa? Is it right next to the ant spawn?...or is it accross the water on the other penesula?...or is it accross the bridge?...or is it just south/north/east/west of the gauard tower?
I've been looking for two levels now killing every crab in sight during both day and night, and can't find him at all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

A short sword?! I spent the better part of 2 hours doing this quest and I got a sword that I cant use <chuckles> I am an 11th lvl Shaman and I feel that I got scammed on this quest 8(

I got the quest from Alomali (it's in my journal) and went to Lilib in the fort. He won't talk to me. I'm a Skald and tried at lvl 10, 11 & 12. No go. What's up? I did Alomali's newbie quest earlier. Thanks.

If youy looked at your quest journal you would see that you have to tell him "Alomali sent me" or some such thing. It's pretty clear from the wording in your journal. I hope that helps
