DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

0: Leutenant Kuebler (Sauvage Fortress, upstairs, north) asks you to talk
to Sir Tillian (Sauvage Fortress, upstairs, north west). I was level 19
when I started the quest.

1: Sir Tillian sends you to get some living tissue from a Fellwood. He says the higher level the Fellwood, the greater your chance to get it.

2: I got it from the 3rd level ~18 one I attacked, so it wasn't too hard. Return with the living tissue to Sir Tillian (New Frontiers loc=45500, 48000)

3: Sir Tillian puts it in a box and sends you to Aiellana in Adribard's
retreat.

4: Aiellana sends you to find two standing stones of power in Forest Sauvage.

5: The stones are at about 43000, 45000 (NEW FRONTIERS loc=20k, 16k). Go to the southern tip of the river and head SE to find them. You will get a message about feeling a zone of power when you get near them.

6: Return to Aiellana. Now she sends you to get a magic stone (Wounding Stone) from an ogre lord in Camp. Forest. (Another mob she may tell you to obtain the stone from is Urfgrat the Green, a named golbin, who can be found wandering south of Caer Ulfwych.)

7: Go to the ogre camp in Camp Forest (about 25000,42000.) The Wood Ogre Lords hang out inside the towers. Not every tower has one. They were blue to me at 20. Watch out for the mystics and shamans - they can cast healing magic. You might want to clear them first. (Note: Any Wood Ogre should drop the wounded stone, not just the wood ogre lord.)

8: Return with the stone to Aiellana. She sends you back to the stones in the forest.

9: Drag the stone to your quickbar. Stand between the standing stones, closer to the larger one, in
Forest Sauvage. Hit the 'use' key ('e') then click the icon of the ston, if that is what yours is. This will summon a woman druid (blue to me at 20) who will fight you. Kill her. (Note: Necros have to be in non-shade form to use the Wounding Stone.)

10: Tell Sir Tillian "Evil has been destroyed."
In German: [das b'se wurde zerst'rt]

11: Take a note Sir Tillian gives you to Lieutenant Keubler. He will give
you your reward. I got 650K exp at level 20, 40 silver, and the necklace
"Band of Fellwood Leaves".

lvl 50 received 926,820 exp

Rewards:
Earthen Necklace of Fellwood -- Wizard, Necromancer, Theurgist
Band of Fellwood Leaves -- Minstrel, Scout
Twisted Fellwood Necklace -- Armsman, Mercenary, Reaver, and Paladin
Fellwood Charm of Purity -- Sorceror
Grail Shaped Charm of Fellwood -- Cleric

Rewards:
  Earthen Necklace of Fellwood
  Band of Fellwood Leaves
  Twisted Fellwood Necklace
  Fellwood Charm of Purity
  Grail Shaped Charm of Fellwood

Doable at lvl 17? Gettable at lvl 17, yes. Eventually I spotted him and a Goblin Warrior on his ridge - both yellow con to lv 25. Killed him, but his mate got me. The mob at the standing stones conned green. Rewards minimal xp, even less silver and a lvl 20 neckie.
Typical of Mythic's unerring ability to take a good idea and ***** it up so badly it becomes a waste of time. Witness also their adamant refusal to put tool-tips on Trophies. Bah!

Dropped from a Wood Orge Berserker for me. Just to repeat what others here have said: You do NOT have to locate a MOB called "Wood Orge Lord" to get the Wounding Stone.

I thot these quests were updated way back when the mobs were UP GRADED .. this quest says it is level 17, and the fellwoods were green and yellow to me at 19, but the Ogres were red and purple...

Let's get this thing one way or the other, huh?

Love quests, and get lots of my exp this way.. but.... come on!!!

Level 19 reaver on Gareth

Forest Sauvage
# Aug 04 2004 at 7:39 PM Rating: Decent
I can't exit thru to the north side of Castle Sauvage, to get to Forest Sauvage! Can I kill a Fellwood in Campacorinten Forest instead? And why am I not allowed in Forest Sauvage?

July 16, 2004, found the Druid Standing Stones located at 20k, 16k, in some trees on top of a hill a short distance from the north bank of the river.
location of the druid stones
# Jun 25 2004 at 9:08 AM Rating: Decent
For all those attempting this quest after the New Frontiers expansion addition you will not be able to locate the druid stones with the old maps. The druid stones are now located in the top north west corner of Forest Sauvage. It is accross the river and to the west. Just up the river bank from a grove of trees near the riverbank.
Necro's!
# Jun 19 2004 at 5:27 PM Rating: Good
Necro's out there:

* Doable at lvl 17. Suggested level actually, right after you ding.
* Wounding Stone has to be done in shade form and can be done, you just need to be standing in the right spot - period. (I just did it)
* Hardest part was living tissue part - gotta kill alot of those to get one. Luckily someone was hunting them at the same time and I joined in the group for all about 10 minutes... killed about 20 of them and they DO have pack spirit or come in 2's or 3's.
* Ogres, come in 3's - watch out for the healers but nuke the lords down and you shouldn't have any problems.

Suggestion: Bind yourself in Caer Gothwaite and take the portal to avalon marsh to talk with Aiellana (Third flight up the tower near the reaver trainer). Kill yourself in a place you can pray then take the portals and one horse back to Castle Sauvage. That horse trip takes about 5 minutes but better than running all that way eh? Or even taking horses back a forth!

Item for Necro was Earthen Necklace of Fellwood btw... YEY!

# Oct 17 2002 at 6:28 AM Rating: Decent
i have done the quest and in the german version in step 10 i had a problem. in the questlog there just stands: "go to sir tillian and tell him"
that was pretty funny to try to find out how the german translation fits exactly. after 10 minutes trying I found out: in german version u must say: [das böse wurde zerstört] I hope nobody has the same questlogproblem like me

Move along.

I'm a 24 pally, and just did the quest - it worked fine for me, even without making any preps before talking to Kuebler...

i'm 24lvl pally got this quest earlier and was doing it now, tried to use the stone but it keeps saying "The magic of the wounding stone fails!" and doesn't summon the druid...am i too high for the quest or what?

# Jul 11 2002 at 8:27 AM Rating: Default
it happened to me too, the right step shows in the /quests list, but not into the journal (it showd that i still have to bring the stone to aiellana, but i already gave it to her), btw, i'm a pallie too.
RE: magic of the wounding stone fails
# Jul 11 2002 at 8:35 AM Rating: Default
o just solved it, the stone has to be used near the taller stone, not in the middle

Completed at Lvl 17
# Jun 18 2002 at 9:43 AM Rating: Default
Talked to the crier in Cotswold and got the quest and completed it at level 17. The druid was orange to me but easy enough to kill as a Sorceress.
RE: Completed at Lvl 17
# Jun 28 2002 at 5:38 AM Rating: Default
Tried the crier in cotswold, didnt help, still havent gotten the quest.
is there perhaps another quest to complete first?
Placeholder
# Jun 16 2002 at 5:38 PM Rating: Good
Ulfgrat's placeholder is an undead goblin warrior and rotting zombie that spawns around 24k 38k (near the ogre camp)
RE: Placeholder
# Oct 13 2004 at 5:54 PM Rating: Decent
I went to 24 38 and he showed up there.
addendum
# Jun 01 2002 at 10:51 PM Rating: Default
Change to the above (at least for me.) The Wounding Stone is now found on Ulfgrat the Green, not the Ogre Lords. Ulfgrat is a roamer found between the ogre camp mentioned above and the goblin camp to the SW. He usually roams with 2-3 others, so you can't miss him.
RE: addendum
# Jul 06 2002 at 5:46 AM Rating: Good
I got the stone off a goblin mystic from the camp close to Caer Ulfwyck, so handing out the stone seems a bit capricious ;-)

RE: addendum
# Jun 03 2002 at 2:48 PM Rating: Default
I just got the Wounding Stone this morning and found it either on a Ogre Beserker (blue), Ogre Mystic (green) or Ogre Ambusher (green). They all attacked enmasse and when I was done beating them to a pulp I had a Wounding stone in my possession.

Just kill ogres- it'll be easier then going after Ulgrath.
lead-ins
# May 28 2002 at 2:41 AM Rating: Default
I suggest that you talk to every town crier you see.
thats been the lead-in for almost all the good quests iv done. The criers will tell you who to talk to. and when you talk to them do it multiple times cause they will have 2 or 3 quests at times.
