I've seen the Lion Embossed stuff drop off the Renegade Guards in Lynn Barfog at the guard tower. Every 2-3 hours a piece will drop it seems. Fairly rare. I have a full set now, but it's about the same as Vindicator plate. Vindi has 42 AF instead of 40, and different magic properties.
I've mixed and matched until I was happy...some pieces of Lion are better, some of Vindi are better.
Either way, Free Plate: Good Plate.

They drop off of ghoul lords .. and they are not common . Got the BP last night :)

Ghouls DO NOT drop this stuff, ive fought there 4 lvls and have never seen a single peice, plus,this stuff is MUCH too good for ghouls to drops, i think you got it confused with Footman's armor they drop,which is a watered-down version of Forlorn. Yuck :p
And I can solo giants easy at 19 so i dont know why you guys are saying you have to be 25, i'm a pally BTW. I'm not sure if the giants drop it or not, but so far i havn't gotten any, i'm geussing they don't though. It seems too good of armor for someone 19 to be able to get solo.

Just wanted to confirm that you can find the lion embossed vambraces off Salisbury giants. I was hunting the giants by the tower between Salisbury Plain and Campacorentin Forest at the time of finding them. My next mission is to find the breastplate. I have killed many ghoul footman and knights, but have yet to kill many ghoul lords. hopefully I can get the breastplate :)

I've leveled 3 times from 13 to 16 hunting Giants in a group and havn't seen anything like that being dropped. Ghoul Lords on another hand do.

Really, why wait until 25 for these drops if you don't have to? Just make the right friends at 14. :)
In this case, a pickup group, levels 12-15 did nicely. Just watch out for the level variances. We got one unusually difficult giant out of about 12 (Probably your "blue at 25" giant).
