I was told to take my heart half to the merchant in the bog of cullen, but when i went to alain binn, the sentinels didn't know where merchadh was (spelling may be wrong, i checked while on to make sure i was spelling right for the guards) is this merchant in a different place in the bog? I walked to the center of the bog looking for him and saw a few huts, but a siabra lookout finally caught me and shot me dead in three arrows. Maybe i am looking too hard for this npc?

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different This quest originates at the Top of the Guard tower near Tir Uphost town in cliffs of moher. This quest is around lvl 30+ to complete, unless grouped. Talk to the healer, Cinead, in that tower, and he says there is a Grey Man haunting him. Go kill the Grey Man, which spawns in the dirt area north of town, very close. Loc: 15720 18448 also seen at 20607, 7759. Return his heart and he will give you half of it to turn into a merchant in the Bog of Cullen (SE of innis). The merchant then asks to go retrive things for him. 3 things in fact. But can only get and turn in 1 at a time. First is the water dye from merucha's. They spawn near the Treibh Cali dungeon NW of innis village. Second is the Claw off of Lashold. Lashold is a named irewolf that I found and killed in that meadow where the faery horses hang out near the guard tower sw of Caille, west entrance to Valley of Bri Leith. loc is 12.8k/58.7k (another loc for Lashold, 13k,60k at 10AM game time.) Last, is a Irewood branch, you can find these in Cain Frontier area. (Mount Collory, outside Druim Cain, 27.6k 38.5k) (New Frontier loc=59.1k, 12k and 61k, 3k in Mount Collory) Reward: |

Merchadh is in the small, two-shack outpost called Siopa. Go SE from Innis Carthaig until you reach it. Watch out for Siabra, black badgers, and ickier things. If you went to Allain Brinn, you have gone too far...Siopa is West across the water from AB.

Any suggestions on finding the Grey Man or do you just have to keep wandering around unti he shows?

I've seen the Grey Man (named wraith in believe) just North of Tir Uphorst also heard of him spawning West of there also...hope this helps

I believe those who give their heart to the Firbolg merchant end up getting Kimba as their quest NPC for the rest of the quest.
I got a reply from my appeal last night on this broken quest and asked for the quest to be removed so that I could try again..
I tried again and this time turned my heart into the healer (as told to in the journal) instead of the firbolg. He gave me other NPC (in the bog).
This NPC seems to be working correctly, so until it is fixed, I suggest for anyone to turn their heart into the Healer, NOT the Firbolg NPC

Same problem happened to me with the claw. Seems quest can go to ways.. you either get Kimba or a NPC in Bog.
I gave claw she kept it and never gave next step... :(
My suggestion is if you get KIMBA as your person to turn in the other half of the heart ... do quest up to Lasholds claw.. when you get item just bank it til quest is fixed. :)

Can't seem to find him. I've looked all over the place near Tir Urphost and the tower to no avail. Is there a spawn trigger of some sort?

A 35 Ranger also got the same stuck results, so if level is the problem here, then it must be a 36+ quest

First, the Healer will not speak to you at level 30, you need to be 31 in order to begin the quest.
Second, the quest seems to be broken. The second item that you need to turn into the NPC(Firbolg Lady in a tree house west of the outpost near Innis Carth) is the claw. However when she asks for it, the dialog freezes after she offers you some coin for your troubles you have encountered so far. Trying to get the quest going again only results in her asking for you to bring her the claw again. The journal is stuck on the step for the claw, and she never tells you to go kill an Irewood.
I have yet to try bringing her a second claw to see if it will work correctly then.
