19th Troll Thane was not offered this quest. Went to Tir na Nog to get Alastriona's quest but she didn't talk to me at all. Faction, perhaps? A prerequisite for the prerequisite? Talked to a Filidh and asked for Lough Derg quests; she sent me on the Youth Gone Wrong, Bug Catcher's Studies, Evan's Notes, Scuttle, Kylirean's New Armor, and Troya's Research quests, and then had nothing more for me... which still didn't unlock anything. Will update if I get this to work for me.

the spectres are actually bantam spectres, which are night only spawns in connacht and cliffs of moher (just west of the guard tower in moher for example).

My husband plays a champion, and I play a bard, and we both got this quest at the same time at level 17. I had done the ******* Wand quest, and he had not, so that one probably isn't a prerequisite. We both did the Alastronia's Chest quest right before this one, so I'm not sure if that is or not, although I doubt it is.

Dergal:
Go across the river from Howth to the lucriduannes (sp) where Hazard and the enchanted guy are, that area. Do Not run over the hills, as there are many purple-red aggressive mobs there. Go into the valley behind the mushroom ring (slightly to the right of the standing stone), and hug the left wall. Take the first left, past the walking rocks (were neutral to us), and in the distance on the right is the camp with Dergal. He spawns directly in front of the hut on the right. Easiest place for us to pull him was up on the hill beside where he was standing. He was orange to us, and we ended up having two adds during the fight, but most of the camp was blue-green. Returned the bp to Riona in Mardagh.

First Part:
He had to kill an empyrian wisp, and I had to kill an eiru fiscere. For the empyrians, run to the parth farm, take a horse to Caille (sp), and they're all over the place in that valley, most were blue-green to us.

For the eiru fiscere, go across the stepping-stone bridge south of Howth, and follow the shoreline to your right (south more). When you start coming up on water badgers (purple-red and aggressive, so I wouldn't suggest swimming as we ended up doing). When the water splits off into a little channel, keep following the shore, and right around the corner inside the channel were tons of eiru guys, mostly green to us.

For the second part:
Both of us had to kill a dergan fury. Swim across the lake from behind Ardagh-TMB to the island with the dergans, enchanters and furies spawn all over the island. All were green, but be careful of the named one inside the hut.

Turn in that piece, and get a breastplate. Both of us got very light blue reinforced, and it looks like the Tacuil armor. (http://www.cannotlinktokills.com/fashionhibernia.htm) Was ugly as sin at first, but once we dyed it darker colors, it looked pretty good. Certainly not bad for the stats. :) Hope that helped somewhat. Took about an hour or so total with the horse rides, and you pretty much make back the cash for the horses along the way.

For My quest, I have to kill grass sheeries, anyone know where they are???

In my quest i have to find eriu Kedger, any one know where that is?

this quest was not available to me as a nightshade either....

Mine was a cool light blue. I have seen dark brown and even red. I think it randomly generates a color for each person....another reason DAOC rocks!

Just wanted to know what your scaled Dergal Hauberk looked like. Was it the ugly scale looking one?

Ok, the Eiru Fiscere are here: G south from howth along the river, cross right before you see the river channel to the left(west). Right around the turn of the river on both sides (north and south) Eiru Fisceres are all over. Good luck

I am a level 19 Ranger, and I have been unable to recieve this quest. I have completed both the ******* Wand and Alastronia's Chest quest and she still won't give it. The only thing I have not done is talk to the Filidh by howth. Does anyone know a difinitive answer on how and when one can recieve this quest? Thanks

Seriously folks, it doesn't take a genius to realize that *GASP* the quests are different either based on class or have a few random variables, like mobs to hunt down! Whoa, what a revelation!

Bob the Bard might get a Giant Worm Swallower to kill, and Ed the Warden might get an Ostrich Eater. Sheesh, stop telling everyone else they're wrong and use your noggin.

To find Dergal (leaving Howth): cross the stepping stones, head back N along the lake shore, just passed a mushroom circle in a stand of trees is a standing stone, head DIRECTLY East from this stone. You will go over a ridge and into a valley. Follow the valley floor until it opens into kind of a large bowl. There is a camp ahead of you and to your right (empty in the day, spectres or some such things spawn here at night). Ahead of you and to your left is a short valley filled with pine-type trees. This contains a Sheevra mining camp, used in the Nuada's Silver quest. Dergal is NOT there. Closer to you and to your left is another longer valley, from the mouth of which you will see Walkiing Rocks in a stone circle. Follow this valley to the end (the rocks should be neutral), and you will come to another sheevra camp in pine trees. There are two huts here. Dergal was standing (for me) in the entrance to the hut on the right. Careful when pulling him, the whole camp came after me when I did it. I gunned him down, and ran from about 10 sheevras, after having the Hauberk nicely deposited in my pack =)

It took me forever to find this camp for Dergal, so here is where to find it.
Cross the river from Howth, and run into the wooded area with eirebugs and cluriacuan trips. There is a valley, go down that valley and you will see a camp (at night has gray spectres so be careful) As you approach camp there will be to valleys on your left (basically a fork). Take the left fork. The right fork has redwoods and sheevra miners, that's the wrong area! Down the left fork you will run past walking rocks and see some dead trees. Keep going and you'll see more redwoods and two huts. There are alot of sheevras in there. Dergal took about 30 min to pop, and he did it in front of one of the tents. The chieftain is a separate entity completely.
