Krrrck's Torment

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Per Patch 1.76: - Krrrck's Torment - This quest's minimum level has been raised to 32. Bonedancers and Warlocks have been added to the list of classes that can start this quest. The quest starts in Vasudheim with Arnleif. She asks you to find and release the spirit of Krrrck, trapped in a frog's body. Arnleif finishes examining several plant leaves. Arnleif says, "Ah, you startled me! Are you here because of [Krrrck]?" Arnleif says, "Ah such a sad tale. Originally, Krrrck was a priest of Skadi, helping oyung Hunters learn the ways of the woods, as well as tutoring villagers on how to survive the harsh winters. His name was [Erik]." Arnleif says, "Erik was very improtant to Skadi, and she rewarded him well for his services. Loki, ever the mischief-maker, decided to trick Skadi and turned her friendly priest into a [frog]." Arnleif says, "A large troll indeed! When the Goddess came to find Erik, all she found in his temple was this large frog. Not knowing what had happened to Erik, Skadi went in [search] of him." Arnleif says, "She searched high and low for him, coming back to his temple twice a day to see if he had returned. The only one waiting for her was the [miserable], lonely frog." Arnleif says, "Skadi, still unhappy with the disappearance of her priest, took the frog to [Skona Ravine] where he could be with other wildlife." Arnleif says, "Skona Ravine and a wonderous place, filled with many creatures and various healing plants. It is said that Erik wishes to be released from his [imprisonment] and rejoined with his goddess, Skadi." Dialog box: Do you accept the Krrrck's Torment quest? You have been given the Krrrck's Torment quest. Arnleif says, "You can find Krrrck living in Skona Ravine along with the other wild creatures. It is said the sadness that penetrates his heart will never be eased until he returns to his goddess and is avenged. Find him and release his soul. He has recently been seen to the west and south of the circle of stones in Skona Ravine." [Step #1] Seek out Krrrck, slay him and release his soul. He has been spotted to the south and west of the circle of stones in Skona Ravine. Krrrck spawns in several locations: After killing him, you receive the bulbous eye. You receive a Bulbous Eye from Krrrck! You have finished the Krrrck's Torment quest. No word on whether Bonedancers can do this quest or not. Reward: |

Bonedancer can't do this quest.
Finally found him. Directions in quest are fairly close.
I spotted him about 3 AM hopping North towards the circle of stones from the log lying on its side about due south of the stones.
Can't comment on his toughness as he was gray to me at 39 (old quest I finally decided to get rid of).
Reward is the bulbous eye (nice resists, decent item).

After MUCH wasted time reading forums and listening to a CSR's advice that there is a placeholder I gave up finding him. (I have found this forum to always be helpfull in the past-this was an exception.) Then passing thru skona at 3am with no other players anywhere to be found I saw the damn frog sitting on the hill between the standing stones. No place holder, no skills or talent on my part..just LUCK. He's dead now.

My level 23 Warrior tried to speak to Arnleif - but she said nothing. Is it necesary to speak to her or can you just go look for the frog?

I Saw and killed him with a friend but i didnßt had the level to get the quest. Now i camped him for 3 INGAME Days and did not found him ...BUt the Quest DOES Exist

LvL 20 should work.
My Hunter friend completed the quest yesterday when we were out hunting in the forest behind werewolf camp.
And we didnt even look for the frog when we ran into him, so it is not a hoax and my friend was lvl 20 when he did it.
We found him west of the stone circle, not very near though, so dont waste your time sitting at the stones and camp. DO some willow hunt or something and you will run into the frog by misstake if you are lucky enough.

Ok, first of all, he is NOT a night spawn. I don't think anyone knows when exactly he spawns. However, I have seen him twice (including when I finally killed him), and it was daytime both times, so if ANYTHING he might be a dawn spawn. He travels a LOT...not just south of the hill, and /loc probably wouldn't even help. Just keep covering the entire area to the west and south of the hill. Friends have seen him right near the logs to the west, in the depression to the south, and when I killed him, he was approaching the small hills to the north west. Good luck...it took me many days also. Be sure to ask everyone you run into if they have seen him...that's how I found him.

this quest is far to hard to do. im a lvl 36 spiritmaster now and i stell havent found that frog! mystick needs to fix this problim asap

I have been looking for this darn frog for over 2 days all over the Skona Ravine and have killed so many frogs that i just cant take it anymore. Not only is this an extremely rare spawn, but it is almost nonexistant. Another problem for Mythic to fix.

I was reading one of the patch updates from one of the most recent ones, and I saw that Krrrck spawns more often and is a day spawn, I believe. I saw him at lvl 14 while being powerleveled by some 17-20 guys. He was not far from the minor werewolf noble camp. Just wanted to let ya know.

I did this quest as a level 22 Healer. I camped the ring of stones for several days and could not find the named Frog. I then spoke to several people who completed this quest and here is how it goes. Krryck looks just like one of the several frogs u see dotting the area. At night time wait at the southern side of the base of the mound. Right when night turns to morning and when the stars in the sky disappear Krryck will spawn right at the base of the mound. I've since helped several people complete this quest and this happened like clock work.

I have heard tell that Krrck spawns at or near 48546-20330 and 58566-20006, but I have never personally seen this. I killed him just this evening, finding him at about 14hrs at location 48574-6750, sitting there plain as the nose on my face. I'd run over that area dozens of times before, but he was there that time.
From the standing stones, face just north of west. As you look out two branches of an odd tree will make a 'Y' shape. Aim for the area marked by the meeting of the tree's arms and you've about got it.

I could not get this quest at level 19, so the postedminimum level seems incorrect.

I just finished this quest freakin finally. I didn't find the frog in the SE dip or on the hill. It was next to the giant ravine/canyon, down SW from the hill, quite a ways. Again SW from hill and near some tree spirits and werewolf guards.
