Krrrck's Torment

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Per Patch 1.76: - Krrrck's Torment - This quest's minimum level has been raised to 32. Bonedancers and Warlocks have been added to the list of classes that can start this quest. The quest starts in Vasudheim with Arnleif. She asks you to find and release the spirit of Krrrck, trapped in a frog's body. Arnleif finishes examining several plant leaves. Arnleif says, "Ah, you startled me! Are you here because of [Krrrck]?" Arnleif says, "Ah such a sad tale. Originally, Krrrck was a priest of Skadi, helping oyung Hunters learn the ways of the woods, as well as tutoring villagers on how to survive the harsh winters. His name was [Erik]." Arnleif says, "Erik was very improtant to Skadi, and she rewarded him well for his services. Loki, ever the mischief-maker, decided to trick Skadi and turned her friendly priest into a [frog]." Arnleif says, "A large troll indeed! When the Goddess came to find Erik, all she found in his temple was this large frog. Not knowing what had happened to Erik, Skadi went in [search] of him." Arnleif says, "She searched high and low for him, coming back to his temple twice a day to see if he had returned. The only one waiting for her was the [miserable], lonely frog." Arnleif says, "Skadi, still unhappy with the disappearance of her priest, took the frog to [Skona Ravine] where he could be with other wildlife." Arnleif says, "Skona Ravine and a wonderous place, filled with many creatures and various healing plants. It is said that Erik wishes to be released from his [imprisonment] and rejoined with his goddess, Skadi." Dialog box: Do you accept the Krrrck's Torment quest? You have been given the Krrrck's Torment quest. Arnleif says, "You can find Krrrck living in Skona Ravine along with the other wild creatures. It is said the sadness that penetrates his heart will never be eased until he returns to his goddess and is avenged. Find him and release his soul. He has recently been seen to the west and south of the circle of stones in Skona Ravine." [Step #1] Seek out Krrrck, slay him and release his soul. He has been spotted to the south and west of the circle of stones in Skona Ravine. Krrrck spawns in several locations: After killing him, you receive the bulbous eye. You receive a Bulbous Eye from Krrrck! You have finished the Krrrck's Torment quest. No word on whether Bonedancers can do this quest or not. Reward: |

I have camped this mob for 8 nights in a row, and never seen him. In the hole to the SE there is a few different spawn points, 4 I believe. A lot of frogs spawn in this hole, but never seems to be the named one. This reminds me of EQ and that game sucks.

Did this with little difficulty at lvl 24. Got to the mound at 10h and killed some frogs nearby, but I don't think that matters. Was heading back towards the mound from sw and saw him near the base. After I was done with him I checked and it was 14h.

Just finnished this quest. It works fine. I caught Krrrk on the stone mound and flattened him. Was 25th at the time.

I agree with the hoax part. I had 3 people camping this spawn. one was parked watching the Mound, hill, hillside just for the pop or frog PH possibly. The other 2 of us was clearing the hole plus everything even close. Camped him for 9hrs and made 4 lvls off of killing mostly hole stuff (frogs, werewolves, great tinglers, and even killed the grey random mobs. I believe it doesn't exist or is broken.

This quest is definitely not a hoax, the bulbous eye that I am currently using attests to that. What Krcck is, is a hideously uncommon spawn. I spend countless game days killing everything in sight, and no Krcck. I ended up getting him purely by luck - running from werewolf ravine back to Gna Faste to sell. My group found him in a little gully to the SE of the standing stones. I know this isn't a ton of help, but Krcck does exist.

Can anyone shed some light on this quest please? I have litterally wasted 4 full days worth of playing on looking for this frog. I hear reports of him spawning on the SE side of the mound not ON the top... I've also heard that the SE valley has to be cleared of all mobs before he will spawn. This post says he only spawns at night... certainly not every night and certainly not whenever the valley to the SE is cleared.
I would like someone who has successfully completed this quest to post something here about how, when, and where if possible. This seems like a nice item for a healer to have in the jewelry slot but it's becoming readily apparent why I have never seen anyone else camping this frog.

I am a level 18 Dwarven Healer, and cannot get Arnleif to speak to me. Is there a prerequisite I'm missing, or does the quest cap at 17? Any information would be appreciated.

I believe you need to be level 21 or 22 to get the quest.
