It's near the area posted. But that is the exact coords. It's not on a rock. It's on the ocean floor.

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Per Patch 1.66h - The search area for the scattered shipwreck bits has been changed. Players will no longer be able to /search on the top of the water for the pieces. Taken from this thread on the Vault Boards. 1. Talk to Rin, He wants you to find his lost friend Eloitlan. 2. Travel to Volcanus Haven, talk to Frearwen, found at the north side of town by the gate, she'll tell you to talk to Dockmaster Richards 3. Dockmaster Richards will tell you about Eloitlan's sunk ship. Travel to theyou regions known as the Scattered Ship Wreckage,loc= 15862, 48036 of Oceanus Anatole, dive down to the ocean floor and /search, you will receive "Bits of Sunken Ship" in your inventory after a minute or so. 4. Travel back to Frearwen, show her the "Bits of Sunken Ship" of the ship 5. She will give you back the "Bits of Sunken Ship" and a note to take to Rin. 6. Travel back to Rin in Hesperos and give him the note from Frearwen and then the "Bits of Sunken Ship" 7. Listen to his story and receive the reward. Rewards: |

Can you pick the reward or do you get a random one..
No picking, Rin just gives you a class "appropriate" pair of gloves when you complete the quest.

It is true, you now have to search at the ocean floor for the wreckage.

According to patch notes, you cannot search from the surface anymore. Haven't tried it out though.

I can only get Priceless Antiques + Broken Promise with my level 50 characters only, which suggest that minimum level 48 is not up to date.

I do not think this or any of the other armor reward quests are 48th Level anymore. The only people I know who have gotten these quests recently have been 50th Season.

We swam around the 14/46 loc..on the surface and down around the rock on the bottom (and under that)...also killed everything in sight around the area and never managed to find the scatter ship wreckage region. When we appealled we were told that the region has been moved. If anyone has the new loc please post it. Thanks 8)

the loc of 14k,46k right, also helpful to know to go underneath the rock, which turns out to be the sunken ship.
AFAIK you do not need to go underneath the rock, you can /search on the surface of the water once you are at the right loc. That is what I did on Sunday when I did this quest and it worked fine, received "Bits of Sunken Ship" in my inventory after waiting a minute or so with /search and the quest was all about done.
Just had to take the bits back to Frearwen and then Rin, though getting back to Frearwen can be a pain if you run into sharks. Then again if you are killed by the sharks and are bound in Volcanus Haven it makes for a quick trip back to Frearwen.

Make sure an take a boat. It is a far swim into an area with quiet a few sharks.

The right location for the shipwreck to search is 14, 46.
There is a shipwreck at 24, 36, but it is not the one you are looking for in this quest.

Well for some reason I can't get this quest.
Rin just looks at me but won't speak to me.
Astoissi won't speak to me either to give me the Seed Pouch quest for the Sand Scorched helm.
Same thing with Nydimeth for the Priceless Antiques quest and gloves reward.
Why can't I get these three quests from the NPCs?
I have done Wicoessa's Proposition and recieved the Ancient Tanned Chest piece, and done the Origins of the Harpies and gotten the Wind Hardened Leggings.
I'm a lvl 49 Infiltrator so I should be able to get the rest of the armor quests.
Am I bugged?
My appeals have gone unanswered (typically 7 hour wait)

I originally tried the location for just "Shipwreck" and couldn't search it. I went to 14,46 to "Scatter Ship Wreckage" region and got the item.

The Broken Communication quest requires the "region" Scatter Ship Wreckage which is located at 14k,46k. You can /search on the surface of the water.
You should receive Bits of Sunken Ship.
