Dirges and wisps con grape to me. Lvl 9 SB.
I looked all around the guard tower at loc 9771 1866 4592 dir=22 in Myrkwood forest. I also checked to loc listed above in Gotar for the Wisps...they con grape too.
Oh well, on to the next quest.

Why are you pestering me? I told you once, I don't know anything of strange potions which work magic and create riches now [be gone]!" Grimkel says,"Are you still here? You know my secret don't you? I give up, I cannot stand being pressured! I will split the riches from this magical potion if you are discreet! I only ask that you collect some items for me. Would you like to [know more]?" Grimkel says,"I have heard whisperings of a [potion] which allows the person who drinks it the ability to turn any objects they touch into gold!" Grimkel says,"I sent my friend Riodhr after the components for this potion, but he never returned. It is rumored that he ran into a lady friend and ran away with her to Nalliten. Who needs him anyway, when I have a trustworthy soul such as yourself. Enough chatting though, we need to discuss more important matters such as my... errrr..umm... our potion of [riches]." Grimkel says,"I will need you to collect a couple of components for this potion. You need to fetch a phial of enchanted essence from a wind wisp and a pouch of [enchanted metal shards] from a roaming dirge." ( Wind wisp can be found in Gotar at loc=40000,56400 and the roaming dirge can be found in Myrkwood Forest at loc=13200,3000) Grimkel says,"These creatures can be found near Dvalin. Grimkel says,"Of course I would fetch these items myself, but since you asked, I might as well send you. There is really no need for us both to venture out into harms way. Now, hurry along! The sooner you return the sooner I will be a wealthy dwarf." [Step#2] Kill a wind wisp for the phial of enchanted essence. some can be found to the southeast of the guard tower past the bridge near Nalliten. [Step#3] Kill a roaming dirge for the pouch of enchanted metal shards. Some can be found southeast of the guard tower past the bridge near Nalliten. [Step#4] Take the items to Grimkel in Fort Alta. Grimkel says,"You have returned with the ingredients! I am going to be rich...uumm... We are going to be rich! I need you to USE the items to combine them for the finished potion. The mixing process can be a hazardous one, so I volunteer you for this task. You then need to give me the finished potion as I must test it. This is my discovery after all, so I delegate myself that task, and I do need to be fair in the assigning of tasks. I cannot make you do all the work." [Step #5] USE either the pouch or the phial to make the finished potion. [Step #6] Give Grimkel the finished potion. Grimkel says,"This is it! I am going to be rich, I can feel it! I shall turn my armor into gold to start with. My armor should be changing into pure gold at any moment... I suppose this takes a moment to work. In the meantime, here is your reward. Here is once silver piece for all of your hard work. What? You think you [deserve more] do you?" Grimkel says,"I never promised you anything, but I suppose I can give you a bit more. I am now the richest of the rich in all of Midgard so I can give a little to the needy I guess... My armor disappeared! Where did my armor go! The potion did not work, and I am out a set of my armor. Oh well, I will have to keep trying. You may leave now as you performed your part of the bargain. I must go barter with the merchants for a new set of armor." You are awarded 8,448 experience! You are awarded 20 silver and some copper! You have finished the Grimkel's Greed quest. Grimkel is inside Fort Alta; a lowbie has no business being near there with purple mobs all around. It would be nice if Grimkel was at either Dvalin town or Huginfel town.
Both quest mobs were easily found near Dvalin town (yellow wind wisp and blue roaming dirge to a level 9).

Grimkel's Will was the reward for my hunter.

Just did this quest with a valk and shammy.. upon handing the potion to grimkel two different things happened.. for the valk, grim turned into a tomte! for the shaman, grim promptly died after recieving the potion.. great stuff!

Grimkel now directs you to search near Dvalin, where you will find appropriately conning Wisps and Dirges (they were blue to my level 11)

cannot find roaming dirge....can find haunted dirge...but this is no good....

Anyone else tried this since 1.75? At level 11, the wind wisp cons grape.
recieved grimkel's wisdom, as a runemaster.

i am doing this quest with my rm :P but i cant seem to find a wisp
Just did it for a Valkryie i got the following:

I did this quest with my sb. He recieved a gem with 4 quick, 4 str, 6 dex, 1 stealth. I guess they are class dependant on what you get
