It seems the Sabre-Toothed Cats are becoming much more aggressive than normal, and have been raiding our camps. I need you to go there and reduce the numbers." Spent a lot of time looking for these cats and only found one. Don't even bother!
Darkness Rising expansion is required for this quest.

Killing everything inside the crater itself, except the dwarves and skeletons gives you faction. Outside the Crater, Morvalts, Sabre-tooth cats, and I think even Gulons and the clouds will give you faction.
The fastest faction is to kill the Caldera lords inside the crater and I think the morvalts in the camp in mammoth valley. Not sure about the morvalts though as it has been some time since I killed them.
