DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Mannix is an firbolg merchant in Mag Mell. Mannix says, "Aye, friend. Have you traveled much yet? If so, you may have encountered those strange spraggon roaming around here as of late. They are very foul tempered, not to mention they have been destroying crops and fields all around the area. Typical spraggon behavior. Right alongside assaulting travelers and stealing their goods. These three, though, they've got some [magical stuff] on them, I'd bet anything on it." Mannix says, "Well see, these three, they aren't like the others. One's super strong, the other is said to be as quick as anything and the third is said to be quick witted. So, it's got to be magic. I bet that one of your skill could overcome these creatures. I bet you could overcome one of them in their lair, if you're interested. So, I'm telling you, you kill one of these spraggon, there's bound to be praise, and a prize." Mannix continues: "But I don't think you would want to take them all on just yet. Tell me, what would you rather have? You kill one of these three, and you can keep their little magical charm. Just bring proof of their death to Tethra, in Ardee. He's a great hatred of spraggon, you know. So which would you prefer? The spraggon with [strength], the [dexterous] one, or the one that seems a bit [smarter]?" Select one of the three, and Mannix gives you directions to them. Select strength, and you get directions to find Spicket. He appears at night in the woods to the west of the bridge on the road north from Ardee. Kill him and he drops Spicket's Head, and Spicket's Belt. Was right at the small hill behind MagMell at night. Had to kill 3 Spraggons before he spawned. Ran right toward me. Select dexterous, and you get directions to find Spackit. He appears at night in the east-west valley to the northeast of Mag Mell. Kill him, and he drops Spacket's Head (sic) and Spackit's Bracer. Select smarter and you get directions to find Spykit. He's the easiest to find, appearing at night on the other side of a small hill just northeast of Mag Mell. Kill him, and he drops Spykit's Head, and Spykit's Ring. The three quests appear to be mutually exclusive. You can only get the magical item off the named spraggon you originally chose. Tethra is in Ardee, loc=54782, 54651, 5201 inside the house in the middle on the first floor. Look for the little Lurikeen. Bring any of the spraggons' heads to Tethra, a Lurikeen in Ardee. He says, "Ah! A spraggon head! I've not enough of these. It seems they multiply faster than we can rid the land of them. Tell me, I've heard strange things. I wonder, is there any truth to the [rumor] I've been hearing?" Tethra says, "Yes then, there are some that seem to posess (sic) this strange ability to grow in size, though I'm told not many can. I suppose it matters not. You're a brave (character class), to have defeated this infamous spraggon. Have you defeated [many more]?" Tethra says, "Have you their heads then? I will pay you for each head, friend, if you give them to me. Or have you [no more heads]? You have done a great thing in killing these spraggon. They are horrible. They run through the land, tearing up good fields, destroying." Tethra says, "There is said to be an item of magical enchantment on the spraggon you killed, the large one. You didn't mention it. Perhaps you didn't find it? He may have hidden it somewhere. That's what they normally do. Could you please search for this enchanted item? I have a personal interest in it. I believe it would be hidden by the bridge on the road to Druim Ligen." Go to the bridge north of Ardee and step on it. (OR-- It's UNDER the bridge. You have to swim under the bridge. Search awhile and you'll get a message that says some thing like "something catches your eye" and it will automatically be placed in your inventory.) You see the text, "You see a reflection from something shiny out of the corner of your eye. You find a partially opened bag hidden under the bridge. In the bag you see the cracked mirror that first caught your attention. You close the bag and place it in one of your larger packs. You have received a Spraggon Bag. Go back to Tethra in Ardee, and hand him the bag. Tethra says, "Thank you, Warden. The spraggon have been unusually villianous (sic), and I mean to find out why. This may help us. Good day to you, Warden, and please, consider spraggon hunting a sport. You're quite good at it." You are awarded 10 silver and some copper! You are awarded 640 experience! Lvl 5 received 10 Silver and 176 Exp. Rewards: |

Tethra is in Ardee. I've never seen him in Tir na Nog
you are 100% correct.
As of 12/13/03 Tethra is located in Ardee at /loc 54780, 51655 inside the building on the first floor. Look for the little Lurikeen.

Tethra is in the council room, as posted below. He is NOT located in Ardee. Go into Tir Na Nog, click on a guard, and type /where Tethra to find out. Although the guards near the entrance said they didn't know of a Tethra, he is there...

As of oct 8th 2002, tethra is still in ardee, in the building on the right when facing ardee from the road. walk in the door, and he's against the far wall.

Where is Tethra???? I stay for one hour in Ardee and no damn lurikeen... can anyone help me because i dont like particullary to walk around with heads in my inventory!!!

this applies to spicket only as i cant ever seem to find the other 2 sprags. i think maybe only one spawns a night and it might be random, thats just a guess tho. anyways...
spicket spawns at exactly midnight in the first copse of trees (about in the middle) just west of the bridge north of ardee (east of the hill). after he spawns. he cons neutral, and stays in his spawn spot for a while before he wanders around. when he does wander he doesnt wander far.
the only other things that spawn in the immediate area of those trees are other spraggons, also neutral. be careful though, sometimes spragnolls wander in off the hill.
if anyone else has any ideas on how to find the other 2 named sprags, id like to hear them

so far tryed to get this with an eld,ench,ns,an warden, NON could get this quest, so if "ALL" can get this quest why can't the 4 i listed not get this guy to talk to them? (all were lev 5+)

I got this quest long ago. (now a level 22!) Have killed all three of the named spraggons and gotten Zilch!! Tried to talk to Manix and to Tethra in hopes of furthering the quest. At this point, I'd just like to erase it from my journal.

Probably because since your level 22, they were grey to you and greys dont drop anything, and why would you want such a crappy item at lvl 22 anyway?

I gave Tethra the belt before I went and got the bag, he gave me 5 silver and handed the belt back.

The lil ******* is suppose to be right next to freakin town, i've camped that spot 4 nights in a row now and he still has not shown up. Is it broken or what?

They all always spawn with other spraggons, shortly after dark. If you see any spraggon, you're close. They're pretty heavily camped right now, so it's easy to be too late if you're not in position before dark.

Can't find the little bugger......When I follow the dirs I come to a curmudgeon zone by the lake. Anyone know where to go from here?

spicket. WHERE THE HECK IS HE. The directions seem so specific until you go look for him. I go a little bit into the woods and find purps to a lv 9. I really want to know where that little punk is.

He is exactly in that small patch of trees right next to the path when it turns to go over the bridge (W from the bridge). You don't have to go far from the road, just a few steps. When you see a few spraggons spawn, he is there (at least he was when i looked). I'm not sure, but I think I saw him only during the night.
Btw, you don't have to swim under the bridge for that bag, just go on the bridge and run around until you start getting that "you see something" message, then stop. Spraggon Bag will be in your... err... bag :)
