DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different I have information about a quest in Midgard called "Looking Ahead". I was a 26 Thane at the time I received and completed it but the quest is much lower since the only person killed conned grey to me. It starts in FT. Atla with a Dwarf in the Tavern named Greyfell. When you speak to him he complains about not knowing his ancestry and send you to his uncle in Mularn, even providing you with a ticket to go there and a pint of stout to get his uncle drunk (I do not know what it was for, I did not need it). Step 1: Speak to Greyfell's uncle in Mularn When you get to Mularn and speak to his uncle he talks about his proud ancestry and how he was attacked on the way to Mularn by a named Skogsfru (Guthr). Guthr stole a locked chest with a journal from some ancestor of his who talked about a strange other land. He also mentions he left the key in Audliten when he left for the Vale. Step 2: Kill Guthr at the fork in the river in West Svealand I found Guthr with the Skogsfu in West Svealand (49433, 20274) and he was grey to a 26 Thane. Step 3: Search the cabinets in Audliten for the key ...Go straight into the Audliten house with two short, blond-bearded Armor Merchants standing outside (Gruth & Deilf), just North of the bind stone. Search the cabinet on the left wall (near Olav) ~ search it several times. Message 1: " " searches inside a cabinet! You fail to find what you seek! Keep searching until the message changes to: Message 2: " " pulls something out of the cabinet! ... (noted by Nukluk) The key can be retrieved in the hut N of the bind stone in the cabinet next to Olav (step in front of it and wait a few seconds, if it doesn't work at first, just try again) ;) Step 4: Take the key and the chest to Greyfell Go back to Ft. Atla and give Greyfell the stuff. His ancestor possess him and he says some cool stuff. In the end I was awarded with a Runed Symbol of Shortbeard's Clan. This is a lvl 14 magic necklace that adds +18 to hits. Handing this item to Longbeard in Aegirhamn will change it to a Symbol of Longbeard's clan. This is not officially part of the quest. lvl 14 received 45,056 experience. Rewards: |

Level 14 was rewarded 45,056 experience and the Symbol of Shortbeard's Clan.
Greyfell does not want to talk to me (lvl 43 Shaman. Do I really get the Quest from Greyfell?
Best to go into the hut as Nukluk said but you need to leave and go to another house with a simliar cabinet and then return to have the key pop in your inventory.

This is a very nice neck piece, if you go to ageir and get the longbeard! well worth it! Short quest with nice reward

The key can be retrieved in the hut N of the bind stone in the cabinet next to Olav (step in front of it and wait a few seconds, if it doesn't work at first, just try again) ;)
