Quirk was blue to a level 7, and came solo when pulled.

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Hilde, located in Haggerfel wants you to find Quirk, an ex-apprentice Huldu, because he stole her plans for a new forge. Directions: Quirk is located in a Huldu camp west of Mularn. Folloy the west path out of Mularn until you reach a fork. Turn right at that fork and you will be able to see the camp. Quirk is level six as far as I know. I fought him once and he was green to my level 8. Hilde says, "Quirk was always getting himslef into trouble or causing trouble. They nearly [ran me out of town]!" Hilde says, "You know, it used to be that people around here were pretty much open to anything and anyone until rumors came in about the Blodfelag." Hilde says, "Then no one around here wanted to be seen with anyone other than [their own kind] which is absolutely silly if you ask me. But perhaps I'm just rambling now." You have been given the Simple Misgivings quest. Hilde says, "You see, Quirk was a huldu. He is smarter than most of those silly creatures outside the village, but still a huldu. He helped me in [quite a few tasks], but others didn't like him around because he like to cause a little trouble." Hilde says, "He helped me in crafting armor and weapons as well as planning out the design I had for a [new forge]." Hilde says, "The other towns people tried to run us out of town, but at the time I didn't want to [lose my job] so I told Quirk he should leave." Hilde says, "The little bugger stole my plans and took off with them. Last I saw he was heading back towards the huldu camp. Haven't seen him since. Please find him and try to get my plans back." [Step #2] Find Quirk and get the forge plans back. Kill Quirk, who is located in a huldu camp West of Haggerfel. This is not just near Haggerfel, it is quite a walk. (Seen in a tent at loc=11544, 33860 Vale of Mularn.) You receive the forge plans from Quirk. [Step #3] Bring the forge plans back to Hilde in Haggerfel. You hand Hilde the forge plans. Hilde says, "Wonderful! Now I can begin work on my newly designed forge. You have done a great job my friend." You are awarded 5 silver and some copper! You are awarded experience! You have finished the Simple Misgivings quest. lvl 7 received 480 experience. |

I found him quite easily using the directions someone posted below titled "Where to find Quirk." As he mentioned, be sure to enter the northern dome tent completely, as he is somewhat hidden.
He also dropped 1 silver, which is pretty good loot for such a low level. That camp probably makes for a good hunting spot for low levels.

After hours of wandering around looking for Quirk I finally found him in the larger of the 2 Huldu camps in the dome shaped tent. I am a lvl 25 warrior by the way. I killed off a couple of spawns before easily killing Quirk but when I had done so, he didn't drop anything nor did a message come up saying he dropped the forge plans. On my journal it still says Find Quirk and get the forge plans back. Anyone know why this happened?

Why not simply go full West from the exit of Haggerfel ? It is a long way offroad but this is the shortest distance the camp.
This is by far the best advice given on this quest :)

I'm a 17 Beserker and Hilde still gave me the quest. Why do I always hit the accept key. :( Waste of time for me but gotta do it to get rid of it. I was also given that bear hide quest from Haggerfel's head dwarf lady. Heh, bear cub was way white.

The problem with the other posts here is that they are not precise. If you come out of Mularn and take a right at the crossroads, that puts you on the road to Haggerfel. That's not the right direction.
Come out of Mularn, follow the road west to the second guard tower where you have a choice of turning south towards Vasudheim or north towards the Uppland. The location of the guard tower is 17700, 49900. (Or follow the road north out of Vasudheim till you reach the guard tower and have a choice of turning east to Mularn or north towards the Uppland.)
Follow the road north past the guard tower a ways. The valley in which the guard tower is located narrows down between two mountains/hills and then widens back up into a new valley. Once you enter this new valley, head off the road to the left (west). You'll see the huldu camps.
One camp has a teepee tent, a dome tent and a triangular "pup" tent. The other camp has one teepee tent, a dome tent and two triangular "pup" tents.
Quirk is in the larger of the two camps, to the north, inside the dome tent. I had to actually enter the tent to be able to see him. He is level 7. The exact loc is 11600, 33900.
Hopefully, nobody else reading this will have to aimlessly wander Midgard following poorly written directions to complete this quest.

I received this quest at LVL 17. It may be a prerequisite to another quest and therefore not have Max level.

This quest is not broken, at least as of 10/25 on the Percival server. I completed it with my level 7 Troll Thane, and Quirk was blue to me.

Yes, it's west. West of Vik, west of the tower near Vik. If you go due west from that tower, you will come to a large mountain and a bunch of huldus. Head north over the small hill at the base of the mountain and you will find not one but two huldu camps. This is the southern end of a parallel valley. At the northern end of this valley are the Vendo camps below the Vendo Cave.
And I didn't get this quest until level 9 though I make a point of talking to every npc in Midgard each level.

And I have since finished the quest, so it's working on Bors. Quirk spawns in the northern and larger of the two camps in the round dome tent. He'll wander a bit as well, and unlike the other huldus has no faction for killing him.

First of all, her name is Hilde - she is a on the left side when you enter town. My friend and I could not get this quest from her at 6th level - I am a Warrior and he is a Beserker. However, while we stood in front of her a 17th level character did get the quest from her.

I left Mularn and went West and kept going West and never came across any tents or camp...
Maybe I am mistaken but are we sure it's West and are we sure you start from Mularn because you gain the quest in Haggerfal?
I don't know but I still have yet to find Quick!

Can't seem to find him. Found a bunch of Huldu Lurkers west of Mularn, killed them for an hour, no Quirk.
Hes in an actual "camp" There is a circle of tents and a campfire and he sits in on of the tents, make sure u acutaly look inside everyone, i would have missed him with my troll if i hadnt made it a point to look inside the tents, the camps are West of mularn. hope this helps :)
