Description:
To get to where Scratch usually pops, go into the first room of CM with the ramp that goes up into the 4-way. Turn left and go all the way down the hallway until you see a rock cutting a small room in half. From My experience in CM, scratch usually pops there. He cons red to a lvl 33, and he is an unsusual mob in the fact that his hits average for about 8(-1) dmg. Even if scratch cons purple, almost every class can take him with only a certain amount of difficulty.

If you're a caster, kill this as often as possible...it's the weakest monster in coruscating mines. It attacks roughly twice per second but only hits for like 1-5 damage on armor. It hit my 38 Enchanter when I had no AF or absorb buffs up and was only hitting for 10-15. Granted, it might put a beating on melee armor, so just kill it if you're a caster.
