my Compel Capitulation was resisted to purps many times. i have Compel Defeat now and the power cost is not worth the benefit. if you are the puller in the group, you will burn quite a bit of power so make sure your healer gives you Purity of Mind. Otherwise you will be budgeting your power between DD and snaring.
mythic should address the power cost to our snares.

skald snares are excellent, i have NEVER had it resisted, even to the highest of purps. its a great way to pull monsters because of its range, and the fact that it gives your grp a little more time to see the incoming, rest a bit more, set up and kill.
in RvR our snares are golden. there is no better RvR experience in my mind than chasing after a retreating enemy, connecting with your snare and then steamrolling the poor *******.
