I would be fairly tempted to pick up that DLC, if not for the fact that my copy of Shogun inexplicably refuses to output any sound.

Have you tried the usual suspects? (reinstall, dxdiag, acceleration settings etc?)

In a related note, I'd be up for doing a coop campaign with someone/and or multi-player battles.

Yeah, I've tried all that in the past without success. Oddly enough I booted it up last night and it worked fine for whatever reason. Probably some seemingly unrelated setting that I changed in the past month or so. Either way, I got through the first few combat tutorials and it seems pretty neat.

GamersGate is having a Dragon Age sale.

Dragon Age Origins - $5.99
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate (inc. Awakenings & DLC) - $8.99
Dragon Age Origins Digital Deluxe (inc. DLC & some exclusive items; no Awakenings) - $11.99
Dragon Age II - $12.00
Dragon Age Complete Pack (Origins/Awakening/Ultimate DLC/DA2) - $13.58

If you just want Dragon Age and not DA2, I'd go Ultimate over Digital Deluxe. More DLC for less money at the cost of a few in-game items.

Square Enix deals weekend on Steam. Today is Hitman games for 75% off.

This means there'll be yet another sale on DE:HR. I don't even bother listing DE:HR any more because it's ALWAYS on sale from someone. If I had a nickle for every time DE:HR went on sale, I'd be able to pour them into a sock and beat someone into putting a different game on sale for once.

If you somehow made it this far without buying Mass Effect, Amazon has a combo pack of 1 and 2 (digital deluxe edition) on sale for $12. US customers only.

Between this and the Dragon Age combo at GamersGate, you can be doing all sorts of Bioware gaming for twenty-five bucks.

Nothing exciting lately in the world of sales but GOG.com (formerly "Good Old Games") is reinventing itself with newer and pre-release titles, more indie stuff and AA titles. They say they'll stick with DRM-free stuff and aren't quitting on their catalog of older/classic stuff but rather expanding who they are.

gog.com has the zork games, caesar 3, arcanum and vampire the masquerade: redemption for $3 each.

VTMB is totally worth it. pretty nifty rpg on the source engine, so it's not terrible. the seaside hotel level is one of the creepiest ever (and it's fairly early in the game) ah nevermind, it's the other one.

I have to admit I got into watching curling last winter Olympics. At first because some of the woman were hot, like Swedish blondes and whatnot. But then later I started to understand what was going on and started to follow along.

Curling makes much more sense when you realize that most curling places have bars in them. It's really just another one of those sports where the fun comes from trying to maintain a level of performance as your BAC goes up.

It's actually quite fun.

hell yeah, i love olympic curling. curling, golf, and chess are in a 3-way battle for who has the most quietly intense tv commentary. drunk people plus ice always equals fun times.

Steam has Trine 2 on sale for 50% off ($7.50) this weekend. That's the first notable sale this game has had. If you enjoy side-scrollers, you'll want to pick this up.

Also, the original Trine is on sale for $2 in case you can't afford $7.50 and haven't played either. Well worth two bucks.

Metro 2033 is $5 at Amazon. It goes on sale for $5 often enough but if you've never played it, it's definitely worth that.

Shogun 2 Complete DLC Bundle is $12.40 at GetGamesGo. It's Steamworks so it'll work with your copy of Shogun 2 regardless where you bought it from. Includes Rise of the Samurai and some other stuff. Does not include Fall of the Samurai which is a stand-alone game and not DLC. Fall of the Samurai is still $19.79 (34% off) at GMG.

Ninja Reflex is the Steam Daily Deal for $1.70. It supposed to be 300 ninja themed mini-games, not sure how many are just re-skins of a previous challenge. Anyway it's probably still worth getting for that price.

You can get a free copy of Cities in Motion for filling out a 15-20 minute survey for Paradox Interactive. Offer good to March 31, keys sent out via e-mail in April. I've no idea if there's a limited number of keys available but they don't say so and it's the publisher offering them so I'd guess not.

If you had done this, I just received my CIM key.
