Ok E3 2014 is upon us. I have always wanted to go to one but never had the means to, and probably never will now that im married and the like. Has any one gone to this event? and how was it ? Also what are you looking forward to seeing ? Me? I think the new witcher looks really cool. Im kind of over Halo but am curious to see whats next. Looking forward to seeing the new God of War and just in general whats in store for the new platforms out there. I need to be swayed one way or another on which system to get.

Anyway Im looking forward to what surprises they have in store for all us gamers out there.

Last year E3 was exciting because of all the new console news. This year I find myself not really caring. I'm a little curious about what Nintendo has in the pipeline but I have no real interest in what Sony and Microsoft are doing at all.

I'm less concerned about what the console makers will bring to E3, and more interested in what the game publishers will show. Maybe finally a reason to buy the next gen consoles?

Nintendo is not doing a conference this year, and will only be relaying info through a Nintendo Direct.

What an incredibly wise decision, considering how well the WiiU is doing...

I'm hearing Mass Effect rumors. Excited. Too lazy to look them up and confirm right now. Must read before bed.

Halo 2 Anniversary and Master Chief Collection slated for November. Looks like I have time to save up for an X1.

Depending on how faithful the Halo 2 multiplayer is to the original, I know some people that are going to be very, very excited by this.

Short talky promo vid without much real content. Still, looking forward to the next Mass effect. Smiley: nod

In the E3 announcement, the dude says it will contain the exact multiplayer that shipped 10 years ago. We'll see.

They already released the new trailer for The Witcher 3, so I've already seen everything I care to from this year's E3.

Just watched. Looks Shweeet. Digging how fast the horse riding animation looks. The narrative is kind of: "Come see the softer side of Geralt..." I bet he still bones his way across the land. But now he cares too. Smiley: wink

Kingpin Brian Michael Bendis is on stage at E3.

Nothing good can come of this.

From what I've read, people are saying that they basically took the Souls formula and applied it to Shadow Tower, a previous From Software series. Gothic horror setting instead of medieval fantasy/horror. I'll pre-order the **** out of it. I don't care how you're not supposed to pre-order games and whatnot, but From has earned that early commitment from me.

Also, it seems that the leaked webms were legitimate.

If you trust the company, I don't see any problem with pre-orders. Heck, I think most games make the biggest chunk of their profits from pre-orders and first week or so sales, since used games eat up a ton of their sales after that.

All I know is that we need to get a PS4 before even considering a pre-order.

PS4 exclusivity is going to bring some fans over who only played the Dark Souls series on Xbox or PC. Not being able to go back and play an older game (Demon's Souls) may not necessarily have gotten some of them to switch to PlayStation, but you can bet that a new game directed by Miyazaki is sure as heck going to sell at least a few consoles.

I watched that for a few minutes, Bayonetta looks pretty cool but I can't be bothered to watch it all now. I'm sure there will be a highlight reel later or something.

Welp Devil's Third came out of left field.

The heck was I watching, I have no idea. Might be the first FPS I get in a long time though. That and Splatoons actually looks stupidly fun. Aside Bayonetta and Smash I was meh about the rest.

FF Type-0, Agito, and VII G-Bike (game based on FFVII Motorcycle Mini-game?)

And a little more info on Xenoblade Chronicles X (not really a fan of the character models, but class-based combat system sounds good).

Zelda for the Wii U. "Open World", what ever you take from that (Elder Scrolls: The Legend of Zelda, or just OoT with a slightly bigger overworld to explore between story dungeons.)

I've been out of the loop this year. Too much work.

The new Zelda looks great, but one or two good games a year is not going to save the WiiU.

I think they've got more than just one or two. They've got both new Zelda games in the works, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros, a Watch Dogs port at some point, etc.
