Strange internet configuration questionFollow

I currently have a strange internet connection setup that I am trying to do. I have 2 different internet connections: a wireless 4g hotspot through a phone, and a DSL line. The dsl line is okay for just gaming, but we can't get any decent speeds if we want to stream video. Even youtube takes forever to buffer. The 4G wireless is much faster.

Unfortunately, my desktop just has one LAN connection, and I don't have a wireless card. My laptop, however, has wireless, and I've been using ICS through that when I want to watch videos online. I was wondering if it were possible, if I have both my desktop and laptop plugged into a router/modem where the DSL comes through, to connect to both of those connections to the internet.

I don't mean trying to combine them into some super speed connection, but possibly having different programs access the internet through the different connections while still only having the one LAN connection to the router.

I've heard that there is some software that would be capable of something similar if I had the wireless connection plugged into my desktop, but I'm hoping I can do something with what I have currently.

Also, I apologize if I haven't been quite coherent; if any clarification is needed I'll gladly oblige.

It would probably be cheaper and easier to just install a wireless card in your desktop. You probably can use ICS to share your 4G with your desktop over a switch or a router, but i've found that in most cases running a network connection through another computer tends to make it rather laggy and unpredictible at times.
