SSD is Solid State Drive and Hard Disk Drive for those might not know. Getting back to the question any benefits such as faster game and zone loading times, less lag when boxing or switching between windows faster. Playing on 17.3 inch laptop, I7, 16 gigs of ram and gigabyte internet.

SSD...makes your computer turn on much faster after you wake up. Loads things faster. Not sure wtf it has to do with gaming or lag or multiboxing.

But sure, might as well buy a $200 SSD. And may I sell you on a $73 whistle. I promise it will affect Everquest somehow.

Actually a SSD does help with loading but not in the way that OP is thinking. Most files are located on the computer already and a SSD will allow for those files to be loaded faster. That being said however the SSD will be throttled by your internet speed. I have noticed a slight performance boost from my Samsung 960 pro SSD during loading. But it's not enough to warrant going and getting a SSD just for eq.

It depends on the HDD you had before the SSD. Like for instance, I had a 5200 rpm HDD before hand with a low transfer rate. I then upgraded to a SSD with a much higher transfer rate and the difference in loading while logging to character select and zoning is like night and day.
