When the first one started, it wasn't so bad. Hey look, a new way of making a little cash, while interacting with other players.
Oh wait, other people say "thats a good idea" and start doing it too, and they make it competitive, each one trying to shout more often, thinking it will make more people come to their casino.
I used to think of Sandy, Windy, and Bastok as small cities, where it was reletively quiet compared to Jeuno... looks like I'm wrong now. It's disgusting.
I've seen only 1 casino that I could stand, run by Ekrisst. I didn't see him shout once to get people to come, just /says. Eventually, there were about 5-7 people just sitting around, gambling a little, and everyone (I hope) was happy. Except Ekrisst, because I think he lost ~200k and an Ice staff.
If they want to let casinos be, I say make a new zone called "Jeuno Sewers" and put them all down there. And make some nasty mosters that aggro to /shouts. Hehe, interesting concept right there.

yea my blacklist has grown, though i don't care for the blacklist feature, since it gives no notice to the person added. Instead i keep a written list (unless the person is really annoying then i do the real blacklist) and basically if you're on that list you won't be getting my help anytime soon and if you do it will be some exuberant amount [5k for a teleport, 50k for a raise].

That's kind of funny about Hiptaru, since yesterday he was running his own casino in windurst.
But anyway, what these casino people don't realize is that they have a HUGE amount of people adding them to their /blist. They run the casinos trying to make money so they can better their equipment/spells etc. so they can perform better in a pt. Only problem is, now so many people have them /blisted that they are going to have a pretty hard time finding a pt at all.
I guess it's kind of shooting themselves in the foot.

In response to your post I just have to say that I totally agree with you and btw the exact same thing happened the other day someone decided to open a casino smack dab in the middle of Lizzies spawning ground and I have to say It was really annoying.It's a good thing that everyone just ignored him till he left.

I recently found out there is more to certain casino people than you think.
Our servers growing casinos are what came with higher prices for cheaper things on other servers
I.E
Ice staff 200k on bismarck 100k else wheree.
Also with many other things.
People are just too lazy to farm.

I can see why peopel would swindle peopel to do theses casinos condering you can never have to much gil however if you do play these casinos it is kinda desperate. If you need gill that bad get a fishing rod and pole and fish a lil or skill up you trade skill. I mean it has to be kinda bad when you betting on a casino to make money
On another note for casino Runners Plz for the love of god stop spamming shouts its annyoing as hell i have Blisted so maney Casino guys fromteh spam especially in sandy and in jeuno its horrible

I am all for helping in the cause to get rid of casinos. Mainly for the spam reason.I can care less if some idiot loses his store bought gil to a scam.The 8 or so lines of /shouted game odds and payoffs annoys the hell out of many players.
I am also concerned with people who feel that they need to hold their regular conversations in /shout mode.Call me a game **** or whatever but there is no need for the entire windwoods area to have to listen to "why Ninjas cant have afros" /shouted for 30 min.Is there?
In my mind, people who spam useless crap while filling everyones screens with unnecessary /shouts should get the same treatment.That being /blist.

I have blisted every casino shouter I have come across. They are annoying because they spam their casino macro every 5 seconds while I will put up my teletaxi macro every 5 minutes or so. I really wish I knew why these casinos started and if they will be ending soon, I hate having to blist people for it. But it gets so annoying and laggy.
