Hello,
I have seen this done on a different forum, and it sounded like a very good idea to me, so maybe we will be able to start a mentoring program for our server.
This forum will gather volunteers in each job/class, that way new and old players starting out on a new job can have their questions answered, and receive the help they need from one of the mentors listed in this forum.
The goal of the mentor program is to help the new players or people trying out new jobs become more efficient at what they do.
Having more than one Mentor per class would be wonderful.
If you want to help and become a mentor post your job/jobs and LVL.
I really hope we can make this work, im sure we could be great help for lots of players.

I don't mind answering questions and giving advice on any of the jobs I have levelled (see below).
However if they ask me for money or powerlevelling i will not help and continued requests will result in /blist.

I feel like I'm already a mentor to a large part of the FFXI Bard community. The amount of /tell I get a day for questions about Bard is pretty large. I like it though, it's nice knowing that players have enough respect/confidence in your ability to seek your judgement on matters. I never really had a mentor or someone to help me play Bard, I had to figure it out on my own, and while that was nice, I think that having someone to show me the ropes, even basically would have increased my skill early on, because honestly, untill around lvl 40-50 I was a ****** bard lol. (gg Melee bard!) But all of our first jobs start out sorta iffy like that. Eventually we learn our role and if there are any bards that need help/advice/ or someone to vent to about being a Bard I'd be more than glad to hear it. I know alot of bards who are now 75, who I've sorta watched get better and get higher level and its really nice to see that what you say can have an impact on your friends. I can also help people crafting, esp cooking and I just have a large general knowledge about things through my experiences.

My RDM is 56 and my PLD is 45 i know.. not too high but im willing to give advice any time i can
60 rng and 57 pld, happy to answer questions and such, but will not give out gil or power lvls.
