Final post and final goodbyeFollow

Hello brothers and sisters of Cerberus.
As some of you might or might not know
I have retired from FFXI in persuit of a
real life and education and all manner of other things.
But I feel as if I should offer up one final thing
that might help some of you in your gaming.

First some final words.
Always remember each and every one of you was once
a new player, you didnt like it when people talked
down to you then so never let yourself be
the one to talk down to another player.

Never ever stereotype anyone
it might be popular to let racial slurs
or jabs and jokes about another persons sexual
preferance especialy in Pts or on your linkshell
you never know who might be behind that screen name,
possibly a friend you may have accidently offended
or hurt.

Remember your actions and reactions will influence your
reputation and misdeeds or offensive words
are not as easily forgoten as good deeds are.
In short the man or woman you make angry today
might be the one your asking for help in a week.

This is a game, something fun don't ever forget that.
If you start playing more out of habbit than for enjoyment
it might be time for you to think about a change.
(no I am not advocating everyone quit FFXI)

And probobly the thing that will make most all who
read this hate me the most.
Not all of the Gilsellers are bad people.
Now... before you light your torches and start sharpening
the pitchforks listen.
When I started farming things like NM's and monsters
that dropped super nice things like the Archers Ring
I started to study Chinese I grabbed some books
and pieced together sentances like a tourist would do
and I also learned a lot about the people that do this job.

First off like I said they are not all bad people, in fact
all of them HATE their job.
There is simply nothing much else they can do
for a living where they are and with the level of
education they have.

Think about it.. Most are paid .25 (american)
an hour. (bringing in a whooping 20$ U.S. per week)
(yea that is like dinner out at any resturaunt for one)
you have no linkshell of good friends like we do.
Constantly people type the most horrible angry things
at you that you might not even understand all the way
and on top of that your MPKed all the time...
I think that would make damn near all of us bitter.
I got to know a lot of them and if you get the chance
you all might want to try to get to know them as well.
Who knows you might *gasp* grow to like them.

For reasons of business I persoanly recomend all you
crafters do so in particular. The miners and loggers
and harvesters to be exact.
Most of the Gilsellers that work those areas
are very shrewd (sp?) traders. Most would be content
to take under AH prices for thier wares just to open
up space in thier bag.
Basicly if you need a certian ore or wood
go to where they are all working and with the smallest
amount of Chinese you can cut killer deals and save a lot.

Well I beg you to give me just a bit more time.

Don't make fun some people realy might need this.

Well I am finaly finished I spent a lot of time in the
game but its time for me to walk away and never
log on again.
I went outside today with all of my FFXI Cd's and
the CoP expansion layed them all on the sidewalk
and took a hammer to each and every one
untill they were all broken shards the biggest no
larger than a quarter and then took the shreder to my
CD keys for all of them.

I have made from the time I left the game untill now.
I have made many friends and when all was said and done
I made an online fortune and if I may brag a bit
was one of the best Paladins for my level.
If any Paladin or just any player wants to
pick my brain for any number of the usefull things
floating around in there feel free to PM me

I dont think there is much more to say than that..

i had fun bashing cd's with you phar. i'd say in game most memorable moment regarding your skills as a paladin would have to be when you were 67, and the rest of our SP was around 69-70, and you tanked those dragons for us in kuftal tunnel. i don't think i've ever seen another paladin tank those dragons that effectively, even at the level where they are supposed to be tanking those things.... lol. well, farewell to your gaming self, and i'll see you ... in a few minutes... lol, guess that's the way it goes when your roomates eh? >.>

Hey Phar I only knew you a lil bit but you seemed like a really great guy and it'sa shame ya had to go but you had your reasons which i respect. I agree with you to the fact not all gilsellers are bad, hell i have no problems with gilsellers as long as they aren't mpking gilsellers which sadly the Flying LS(or Huixiang as they call themselves now) have become. Well I wish you the best luck in everything you do :P Later!!!
