uhm... does anyone know when FFXI will let just anyone get married? regardless of gender of race? as everyone knows, not all female chacaters are female, nor are all male characters male... and bring up the question of races... Galka's... aren't they either male or female...? so... are they allowed to married others? yes! so we can't other same gender players...? *sighs*

I don't think they allow same-sex marriages. I saw a topic on another board once where they were trying to get a petition thing going for it to happen.

Why dont you two get a room or something!? :P This post is almost all Alita and Cyclona. Kinda makes me sick; :S But anyways, i havent hear much yet but i am sure it will happen eventualy. I mean, i am sure SE will remember that this is just a game and people should be entitled to things such as same sex marriages. Homophobia is bad! lol
P.S. Galkas arnt male or female. They are BOTH! They reproduce Asexualy. Im not lying. Look it up for yourself.

This wasn't meant to be be an all Alita and Cyclona thread, I just happened to see her post and was replying, but found that you can't personally reply to someone (unless you have a premium account, I guess) So if it was meant to look that way, then I'm sorry Manwe.

actually you can sell the dress for a quite a nice sum. on my sever selling the whole thing gets you ~750K so there's a perk. and having the rings would be cool

It would've been great if getting married ingame offered special things like sharing a Moghouse. I was really hoping for that... I mean, not anything like sharing inventories, but like.. being in the same Moghouse at the same time sounds kinda cute and nice ._.a

I think the mithra should be able to marry other mithra. Surely due to the lack of men they settle for each-other!
But meh, I'm a guy IRL, if I wanted to (not that I would, mind you) marry a real-life female in the game she'd need to have a male character. That's kinda stupid.
Plus, it's just a game, what does it matter if people have same-sex marriages? It's not hurting anyone. It wouldn't exactly be hard for SE to implement...

Very good question with not a very good answer...obviously the people that made up these weddings for this game didn't think of the players that play characters of the opposite sex...
