I don't see as many Zooes lately.

I fondly remember watching them as newbs in ronfaur and la theine, leveling in valkurm, taking the road less-traveled and leveling in pashow...

I only ever see one anymore, the female elvaan, Zooeqprghsomethin'somethin'.
(I never could tell them apart by their names)

I did a search on Ordelles today. No Smallbaby, Mither, Yunaa, Accicer. ^^ Could it be that Squeenix actually DID something to solve the Gil Selling problems??? Might be too good to be true...

Even the teleporter has disappeared. (You know which one I'm talking about) No more pay and get quick tele service 24/7 in Jeuno.

Hmm...I think IGE also has something to do with the disappearing of Gil Sellers. I checked their website and they have a message about Monopolizing camp spots hurts the enjoyment of the game. But then again it's my assumption...>.> Anywho, here's the message from the IGE website:

    Quote:
Millions of people, like you, enjoy playing online games. Everyone plays the games to have a good time. Friendliness, courtesy, and respect for others are as important in the online world as they are in real life. We encourage all players to be good citizens of the gaming community. Exploits, hacks, and monopolizing camp spots so other people can’t acquire good items are destructive to the whole game experience for everyone. Game economies are not helped by making it difficult for other players to play and enjoy the game. Any activity that makes playing the games less fun hurts us all. We encourage you to use common sense, common courtesy, and enjoy the marvelous adventures in the games. Help everyone have fun and all else follows.

But don't take my word for it, check out the website if you want to see it for yourselves.

Check out the update page. There is something mentioned there about dealing with this problem, as well as stopping gilselling altogether. It's about time SE got off their asses and worked on this... Good Christmas present to their loyal customers. ^^

Well the gil sellers sold a lot of gil in the meantime. Like I said just a while back: they are stuffing the coffers of IGE and other companies and preparing to move on.

Now IGE has full coffers and isnt willing to pay high prices for gil. (dont believe me, check their site: down to 5$ for 200k)

So I guess therell still be campers, but good old bots that are as smart as my boots. Many have noticed the drop in prices of big ticket items.

I guess we just had to let the monster die of old age and of gluttony.

The only Pj logged on today was Pjsel, Pjnono yesterday was looking for a Genkai 1 PT :S. Well you wont make 800k with archer rings but I guess making 300k and not seeing Cao ni ma will make you feel better.

    Oh...my... GOD.

I actually might buy Chains of Promathia and continue playing the game if they really do solve the gil farmer problem. O_O Their update notice gives me high hopes. Too bad they didn't do it sooner.

    edit for typo ^^

Funny story about Pjsel. My GF and I were just running around Delk's Tower last night, we get to the first room lower level where the Dolls are and we see some battle spam from an elemental fight. Then A few secs later my GF gets a /tell from Pjsel "Help me out HP!". We just ignore this, they kill the else and then next time we check them, they are in Jeuno.

Can someone say (Shock) ^^ - Thank you Ele's.

I think the Zooe's world shifted, cause I heard a few weeks back someone complaining about them and they weren't on Lakshmi. There was a way to tell them appart. I think I posted it ages ago. Their names were coded at the start with warrior and healer like codes.

There were zooe variants on several servers.

Its possible the Lakshmi ones shifted to a new server, but I did see the female elvaan just the other day ^^

perhaps they are just abandoning their current characters that are known to all, for knew ones that wont be hassled as much for a while. Just a thought.

Aaah those dirty zooe's... :P actually I didn't have a problem with them. I too watched them grow from first seeing them in Ronf. They never annoyed me so I don't have anything against them. For some reason I think they were bound to using the name change exploit and selling the character, but I could be wrong.

I'm sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but the gilsellers are not going away as long as this game remains more gil oriented than adventure oriented.
When the quests stop giving crappy gil returns, mobs stop dropping a measely 10 gil, and mobs start dropping stuff a little more often, then things might get better. notice the key word is "might".
Too much time is dedicated to farming and very little is dedicated to adventuring.
Why are there so few high level people? why does it take 3 hours just to find a party past lvl 50? More often than not, the gear is way too expensive (not to mention the elitists that won't invite you unless you have super expensive gear on).
People selling gil are taking advantage of a flaw in the game. If you want to get rid of gilsellers, fix the flaw in the game. If gil wasn't an issue in this game, then what would they be selling?

    Kof's team is still there.

    Snipper rings are still 600k.

I don't know anything about NM camping, but it seems that the gil sellers/farmers are still on our server. :/

Beware people of Lakshmi, for there are still gil-sellers lurking within the Ordelle's cave. Their LinkShell is called "Luckgril" and some of them have high ranks and they all have good equipments,(even some of them have AF boots) They seemed to be the substitutes for Smallbaby, Aniya and the others.

    Edit:

/em waves to Catti and Tzipporah.

maybe they got smart and decided that having similar names look freakingly so obvious!

sellers I've seen are: roses, pjs, kofs, and envoys.

I'm just glad that SE has finally taken notice of this situation, WoW is out any connnection?

The thought of switching has been lingering in my mind for days now prior to its release.

There is a guy named Cjames out there who is very very sneaky.
He did a /wave the other day out of the blue, and it made me suspect that he is a gilseller. He was level 50 with no sub and rank 1 and farming in Qufim Island naked. Veerrrrrry suspicious.

You can also take notice to the economie effet of the gilseller vanishing...

For the high price item like peacook charm, most people will tell them self "Wow finally they are no bot near, it's my chance..." so they'll be mostly a lot of people around thinking the same thing, but thing will cooldown slowly, and it will be soon more easy to camp it, just not right now...

As for the miner gilseller, some will think that it's the time to go mining but I doubt that they will gather the same amount of Ores than the gillsellers... so mostly the price of Ores should go up...(Darksteel has passed form 5.2k-5.3k to 6k in seconds yesterday, like his was before the gilsellers take over...) As well as all the item that was classicly farmed by gilsellers that will probably go up in price...

It's a good time to go mining.. less competition and good price too...

on a side note: since all the ore go up, that mean that less ppl is gonna craft for a bit of time. and all item that are connected to crafting (read goldsmiting and blacksmiting since they are to two connected to mining) will probably go down a little since they are less ppl to buy them...

Well this is just observation for a mining/blacksmiting players... I'm not a craft-a-olic like some others ppl (cough cough I bet he understand... huh? cough cough) but these other ppl could tell more interesting observation...
