We we crafters are dumbasses. Silver went up from 24k to 28k recently. And the cost of silver bestacoins up to 7k a stack. What do I do?

I craft... What do I do after? I jack up the price or see my profit margin drop down... Wonder why those silver bullets are 11-12k a stack? Because if I dont HQ it costs me 10k to make them now. (while it used to cost 8k)

We need items, you just cant say Im not crafting this month because the prices have gone up. Its not only gil seller, we crafters are an evil bunch ^^

I have read several threads regarding the gilsellers vanishing, and I can tell you that this will have little effect in the short term, and this is why:

People are starting to wonder if those leaping boots and sniper rings are going to become rare/ex, so they are all making a mad dash on the AH to sell them quickly. On some servers, there have been 40+ emperor hairpins for sale. This makes some people say "geez the only way I can sell mine is if I undercut, but if I do that I wont make much of a profit". This mentality is what is going to keep the prices up. You bought something for 400k, and you expect no less when you sell it. This is why prices will stay up. Even in this forum there was a thread about people complaining about undercutting and reducing profits. When I find the link I will re-edit the post and paste it.
In the long run, prices will eventually go down, but not by a whole lot. There is always going to be a large group of you who will want to get the same price, if not more, for the item for which you paid.
So if you think that by the gilsellers disappearing the price of strider boots will go from 5 million to 400k (or even 2 million), you're seriously mistaken. As long as someone is out there who believes that you should pay the same or more than he did, you'll be paying top gil.

edit:

here's the thread for people complaining about undercutting

I don't think the price will go down fast, but it will go down...

because now you have an alternative to buy peacook charm... and that alternative is... to go camp argus, and get it yourself... sure they will be people who will camp it for money, but honestly, how many peacook charm you need to get to be able to buy all your gear up to level 75??? not a lot... also since less people will buy it beacause they can actually go camp Argus themself, that mean less buy than normally, and that mean the price will go down...

Also if the price is not going down fast enough, some group people will go camp for archer ring for exemple, sell it all to lower price and ask friend to buy it at that lower price, to fill the price history, I've seen some people done it before (yeah in lakshmi), for sniper ring... but did not work because of the almost monopoly of gilfarmer over the item ATM...

But before we start a wonderfull discusion about that... I've saw 3 Pj*** log this morning, 2 of them in Gusgen Mine...

I want to cry...

Unfortunately, they're still around. A friend told me he went over to Gusgen the other day to look for an RSE chest (we're only L30 atm). When the gil sellers saw him, not only did they call in reinforcements and plant 2 people at every mining spot in the dungeon (probably thinking he was a miner), they deliberately trained & killed him before he was able to open the chest.

I do think a few of them changed their names. If you do a /sea Gusgen, you'll see some really odd ones as well as some of the regulars.

Shantelle :)

Even the teleporter has disappeared. (You know which one I'm talking about) No more pay and get quick tele service 24/7 in Jeuno.

Not on only is Bokeli still around, but this statement would have no merit if there were no gil sellers on the server at all. There will always be teleporters in Jeuno. If we didn't have gil sellers, we wouldn't have the same one person there 24/7, but someone would be there.

Yes, some are vanishing, but there are still gilfarmers left. Gilfarmers are so easy to beat though, I don't know why you all feel threatened.
Would owning sniper rings be as impressive if they didn't cost as much as they did now? The gilfarmers add value to certain items, and it doesn't bother me.
I can beat them with voke every time, they suck. Learn to outsmart them.....
And I have never been mpk'd by them, one even gave me a D2, they are just people trying to make a living. I don't know how they live off of so little a month, but it doesn't bother me.

Sometimes I will heal the gilfarmers lol, just b/c I feel sorry that I beat them every time. And I am a RDM, it should be so much easier for someone who has voked for 50+ levels....

Anyway my 2 cents..... They are beatable, you just have to think

It'd be nice if the gobs dropped more reasonable amounts of gil. Why did SE put in so much effort in making an AH anyhow? Sure, it's fun, but what can the AH do that NPC stores cannot?

I'm starting to quit LVLing because of the expenses, it's ridiculous. I play to adventure, not to spend 5 hours killing a specific type of mob that doesn't give me any EXP points, added to the fact that they SOMETIMES drop the item you're looking for.

More time in game = more real green money for SE. That simple. Don't think it'll change.

Unfortunately the only gilseller I've noticed missing is Bokeli. /cry....at least he provided a service :(

It took me 15 minutes to get a teleport in Lower Jeuno last night (probably due to the fact that not everyone had finished downloading the update yet). While I was waiting I looked to see if any other "known gilsellers" were on. Sure enough, out of 550 people on, there were 2 zoo's, some evoys and some roses. Not to mention the bot vokers in all the usual NM spawns.

I'm not complaining, none of these players have directly affected me as far as I can tell. Just wanted to let everyone know that some of the regulars are still around. Perhaps they were all laying low to see if SE meant bussiness with this new patch? Or SE hasn't fully emplimented their "plan" yet?

There are still plenty of gilsellers on Lakshmi. Last night I was camping Stroper with a friend and two members of "Luckgril" were camping as well. We out-pulled them on everything, sometimes taking 2 Napalms at once ^^;

They did get annoying however and after awhile I did a /s told them in Chinese I had heart disease and needed help, they logged.

The Kof's were still around last night when I was leveling RDM. Mango if you are ever in need of a Tele, send me a /tell and I will see if anyone from my LS is free and in Jeuno (most probably Yul).
