The trouble, though, is the original post gives a lot of leeway for that sort of thing, which is what I'm wary of. You're right; people aren't sheep (for the most part). There's a difference between a bad linkshell and a linkshell the poster just doesn't like, something which may or may not be based on a personal vendetta against perhaps a single person or a couple of people. Using the original post as an example:
Say the linkshell, formed out of members from the OP's linkshell, is given a bad reputation due to this post. Someone else joins the linkshell, unknowing of their "reputation" or this post. Someone in the OP's current linkshell sees that pearl, and says "Hey, I remember that post, they're a bunch of backstabbers." Well, someone who was absolutely not a part of what happened suddenly got dragged into it, and someone formed an opinion of them without them having done a thing.
It's a bit of a stretch, but it's entirely possible and something I would be dreadfully cautious about. If the post persists, then so be it, but just be careful about inadvertantly including people in scenarios or reputations that they don't deserve.
