ok something happened last night that made me realize, its just not cool being nice. so im posting this as a farewell to the nice bastila that most of you have come to know. im tired of being taken advantage of, i help i help i try i try i lose. im not quitting the game if that what you think this is. im posting this to give fair warning that im not going to be such a nice guy anymore.
Wow Bastila I am sorry to hear that something that bad happened last night. Would you mind letting us know what and who so we can avoid whoever it was in the future? Anything we can do to help?

I'm sorry for whatever experience you had which has caused you to decide that it is better not to be nice, and instead choose whatever alternative there is (I hope your choice does not lead you to the extreme of being selfish, mean-spirited and rude).
Just remember, it is possible to consider your decisions with educated discrimination, and still be a nice person who is nice to people.
You don't need to set yourself up to be taken advantage of while trying to be "nice".
You also don't need to become a heartless ***** (a word that trancends genders, in my opinion) just because you're sick of being taken advantage of.
Try to find balance. Don't let yourself become so jaded that you become a spite-filled and hateful player.
Just remember, it is possible to consider your decisions with educated discrimination, and still be a nice person who is nice to people.

Bast, why you gotta be so high strung. Go chain some Gobs in the Dunes and clam down. Or level summoner, Carby is very mellowing.

I know what you mean Bastila, you give people an inch and they will take a yard. Well most people ain't like that, but I've had some that have been. Like I randomly give out from Warps from here and there, give out free food to fellow party members (mostly mages.. cause it really helps), and I don't ask for anything back in return.
Though I also have my darker side, search comments like: (currently leveling RDM17)

No Subjobs = (No Thanks)
No WHM = (No Thanks)
Very harsh I must admit, and I was walking around La Thine soloing for a few hours until I dropped the comment.. 5 mins later invite. Seriously there's a level to how nice you can be and how many times. I hate the dunes, like absolutely hate them, and being a RDM I'm trying to be a Melee based RDM (since I want it to be my solo job later), so being invited as a replacement for a WHM cause no other WHM's can be found is not only an insult, but it's actually quite bad for the party.
My actions might not be just in some people's eyes, but I think I've been nice enough in the past year to be abit nasty from time to time ^^
