Is everyone afraid of Eldieme Necropolis?Follow

I doubt it, but it seems no one ever wants to go there to skill up and help me get a coffer key. I was lucky enough to get a skill up party in there yesterday but a key didn't drop, and 3 other's were looking too.

Id really like to just get in and get out and have that be the end of it. I have a 55 Thf, who will definatly and make the horrible drop rate hopefully a little better.

I was wondering if there are any kind souls out there high enough to come and help without the fear of dying. I really wanna get this part of my AF complete.

Ill pay if you want, I'm poor but I will farm my butt off to pay you back if that's what you will require. ; ;

Thanks

Just /tell Nightspark in game...I'll prolly be on around 7 or 8pm eastern. ^^

It certainly used to be scary, but now, at 70, I no longer fear the place.

If I am available, I can try to help, though I'm rather a noob when it comes to knowing coffer spawn locations (or even keydroppers) there, since I did spend so much of my time thusfar avoiding the place.

    The biggest problem with the Eldieme Coffer key is finding a safe camp *and* be able to pull coffer dropping mobs at a decent rate. If you have someone who doesn't get aggroed by the Fallen Knights (I'm guessing lvl 65+), then you can camp Hume Bones and easily pull some Tomb Mages and Tomb Warriors (only shadow type mobs in Eldieme link), and even a Spriggan or Haunt if you're really brave. If you don't have someone lvl 65+... well, either you have to kill the Fallen Knights and Lich to open up short windows for pulling coffer dropping mobs, or move the camp up into the tunnel where you might get jumped by 3 Tomb Mage/Warriors at once.

    Oh, Nightspark, I was in the Coffer PT with you yesterday too. After you left, me, Keebs and Telemachus killed Tomb Mages and Warriors for a Coffer Key... got nothing. We even had that Coffer right beside us until it Despawned much later. If you get help for this Coffer Nightspark, please let me tag along. I'll be willing to help pay for help as well. Thanks mon.

    Shhhh don't speak of that name... the Shadowlord shall rise once more and smite those that speak it's name.

    In all seiousness, yeah that place is nasty, not too many people like it. The only bad thing about camping on the Hume Bones is that Ele's spawn around there and I've nearly been taken out by one. Oh and also Escaping from there puts you just outside the enterance to Jugnar in Batalia :/ The walk to jeuno is long and hard if you don't have a high enough BLM with you.

    See, the thing that makes Eldieme so hard is that the mobs are not sleepable. In any other coffer key location the mobs can be slept fairly easily, but Eldieme is full of undead, so you can't sleep them. Furthermore, they have AoE drain so the more people you have, the more HP they drain, thus making them harder to kill.

    I still hate Eldieme for what it put me through to get my gloves. I'm fairly certain that you get aggro until you're 72, so even someone 65 can't pull without aggro from the Fallen Knights.

    Huh? No one that needs a coffer key is going to get aggro from mobs in Batallia. It takes all of 5 minutes to run back to Jeuno from the Jugner zone. I can't think of any coffer key location that is any closer to Jeuno than Eldieme.

    Were you successful this weekend in getting your key? Please post here.

    I need to get a run started for G1 and we might be able to combine objectives.

    Please let me know. (byw, in my opision the reason everyone hates this place is;

    1) As detailed above mobs are resistant to sleep
    2) a relatively easy mob can cause lots of problems, like using blood sabre over and over
    3) if your hp gets low then you start attracting major links.

    This can be a nasty place.

    Here's a couple reasons why people hate that place:

    1) Undead. They're the worst kind of mobs you can run into. They low-hp aggro from MILES, and since key/paper parties inevitably sit RIGHT on top of eachother, their AoE drain is much more annoying than it should be.

    2) Hard. The Papyrus drop is INSANELY low, and drops from mobs you either A: have to run around the place to kill eficiently or B: run through beaducine glacier or whatever to get to a more reliable area to camp them. Joy. The coffer key mobs are high level, and with only a few places to camp them effectivey, you run into the "AoE drain worsened by idiot party who won't camp somplace else".

    3) {Gate breech} Oh come on, this is just unfair. In an effort to make Coffer camping even MORE of a pain, they make you unable to reach the bulk of them without someone else to come with, out of the goodness of their heart, or take a long walk, or hope the moron currently at the switch isn't opening and closing them over and over just to be an ***.

    Nah I just hate walking.. not saying watch out for mobs... We popped out there and saw where we were and went... **** >_<. I did D2 everyone, but kinda annoying.

    I was walking around there last night no problem, trying to find that damn Chest, not the coffer, just the Chest. I'm low on cash ok, need 600k for 3 AM's (and then I'm totally up to date).
