How to tell if a "I was hacked! zOMG" post is a scam or not:

Sadly, that's about all you need to look for to see it. If someone was genuinely hacked, they likely wouldn't come onto a message board and beg strangers for their hard-earned gil. If you start up a casino immediately after posting that you were hacked, you're just destroying your reputation even further. This really is starting to become a disgusting trend. "My name is ____, and I was (hacked, quit without thinking, etc)! If you want to donate gil to me, please send now."
If you're hacked, don't announce to the world that you were an easy target. You don't get robbed and then put a banner on your house that your home is easy to break into.
