How about a 5 hour Race???Follow

As many of you have come to find out, the Arc Of Legends linkshell likes to have a little fun while playing the game. In an effort to help some linkshell members have some fun and escape the XP grind, we had the 1st Annual Arc Of Legends Rat Race. There were 6 brave entrants that started the Race. Mordeyb, Cantanu, Tsuru, Tracker, Heffe, and Sgtkae all met in Sandy and were ready for the rules. Lowest level job (all 1s at this point) run from Sandy to Windy to Bastok. Piece of cake. Oh yea, no tele-ports, no chickens, no blood port. No boat, no life, no motor car kind of race. I forgot to mention, along the way to Windy, pick up a bat wing and a crawler calculis.
The entrants decide they have to work together for the wind and calculis (level 1 remember). Kae has to go do some RL stuff. Down to five. Trying for the wing. Trackers down, zone zone zone... At this time, Fizher shows up. What time does the race start? Already started, get to Sandy. Rushes to Sandy and joins up. After a long time with no bat wing drop, the wing requirement is lifted. Running to Windy and Fiz catches the ship others have to wait. Fiz has little success with the calculis. Damn, Poison and now Dia. The others catch up. Mordey thinks he has calculis on sale at AH. Damn..was something else. Once they get the drop they have to find the Orefise HIDING in Windy. The race continues. The find the Elvaan Girl and now off to Bastok with the "item" that they were given in Windy to deliver in Bassy.
Back to ship, back through Dunes. All the while the Racers are soliciting ls members to Bodyguard them to safety and to train mobs on the others. Heffe drops somewhere along the way. Tsuru is in the lead with Fiz in hot pursuit. Mordey and Cantanu cheering each other on. More danger, a lot more laughs. Hin has finally accepted the offer to try and train mobs on the leaders (all done in fun) but the Taru Taru may not reach them in time. Getting closer to Bassy and Cantanu and Mordey know they cant win but will themselves on to make a showing. Its Tsuru,,its Fiz...Tsuru...Fiz...it is going to be a photo finish. Once in Bassy, all they have to do is find the hinding Galka (me). As they are zoning in I use my Prism Powder just to ***** with them but Fiz sees BPP uses Prism Powder and knows I am near He rounds the corner /wave. And the winner is Fizher. Upon trading the Galkan Sausage to the hungry Galka who has been hiding for FIVE HOURS, he is rewarded with 25k. Tsuru shows up second and is awarded 1g for his delivery of Galkan Sausage. Mordey and Cantanu show up together about 20 minutes later to finish the race.
Five hours wasted...not hardly. Ask anybody who got the play by play in the linkshell or the racers. Good times for everybody.
