Number of new serversFollow

Anyone have any idea/guess as to how many new servers they'll have?
In the news it was posted as 1-3, i would like to swtich to a new server and meet up with another budy of mine that currently plays on a different server. Not worth switching for me if we still end up on different servers.
Also after the 10/3 dead line is it possible to change your mind? say they are going to open 2 server and we are on different servers can I decide not to move at the point?
