Hey all,
I was wondering if there is anyone out there (who speaks english :)) who would be willing to give me a hand levelling up? I am new to the game and really finding it hard to make progress without getting slaughtered all the time. Anyone who would be willing to help or just lend a hand more generally my ff11 character name is Amonius on ragnarok server and I am a red mage. Please someone take pity on this noob and lend a guy a hand :P

What you need is a good social linkshell, full of helpful and patient folks to show your the ropes. (Patience is harder to find these days in FFXI, where so much of the player base has "been at it" a long time and thus can be dismissive of truly new people sometimes.)
Being new at FFXI *is* easier than ever before, mind you, in terms of how fast you can level up and "do things." But it still takes guidance to do it right!
