as you know after being heavily criticized and in need of a reboot FFXIV, the game finally came to an end. But will be reborn as FFXIV: a realm reborn.

anyways as soon as i get a definite date on the launch HoCD will be relaunching! We have a huge network of players just wanting for 2.0 and we want more!!

There is a fan created patch that switches the mouse to the "hardware mouse".
I think it I saw it on the Eorzeapedia.
There have been a number of complaints about it. If it isn't integrated into the retail launch, it will probably show up in a very early patch.

Who needs the mouse anyway though. I tried using the mouse on XI once and it just seemed like to much work. Using a controller on XI works so much better for me. I only use the keyboard for macros and typing.

You gotta love some of the old school server names. Takes me back to the glory days of IV(II US) and VI(III US) when SNES ruled. If someone on Figaro server doesn't name their character Edgar.Roni or Sabin.Rene I will be shocked.

I haven't had time to play the beta.
Does it just let you pick any server you want when you create your character? Or, do you have to do some sort of world pass thing like when XI launched?

Idk FFXIV started to grow on me during testing... I'll come play on Cornelia, but I think most of the testers are going to be playing on Mysidia so I would rather go play there, but I'll go to Cornelia if HoCD is gonna move there...
