Level to attain is slightly misleading, I think... can be acquired at lower levels, such as the one I got at level 12, though from a Mud Golem of higher level than me.

confirm that it drops of mud golems, but like with other drops from mud golems it seems fairly rare. first the often don't drop anything at all, and then mostly obsidian Speartips. so i figure it's not excactly "common"...
