Probably you have killed him too many times. I am killing Imps for about three days and Spifnar doesnt wants to comes to me.

It says it drops for anyone that it cons yellow-green, Spifnar won't con green at 50 (he will be gray)

I was grouped with a level 39, and level 33 champ. I am a 34 ranger. We all got the drop from the named that drops this. Still doesn't proc till 36, but did drop. (3OCT02, evening)

Simplest explanation to get a crescent reaver is as follows. Go to DL. Head straight out the gate and keep running straight forward until you come across a log.
hang a left, and you will see a lake with some houses on the other side. Swim directly across the lake. Watch out if you have a bad curm faction, because there are some Curm Ratoners in the houses. Behind the houses is a big hill. Run up this hill, and at the top are the imps.
These con yellow and orange to a 35. They are hard yellows, and incredibly hard oranges, so bring a friend or two if you can.
Spifnar spawned for me after about 20 mins of killing place holders.
Kill him.
If you are above 35, then you will automatically receive the crescent reaver in your inventory unless he is grey to you.

Just got this at 35 and had a nightmare finding the spawn. Its directly above the curm camp (near lake) atop the hill. Took me an hour of imp bashing before Spifnar spawned and I got the reaver.
It wouldn't proc until I hit 36 though.

my BM friend says the Pestilent Sickle procs more often for him than this weapon.

DPS is much higher on this one. You wont want to use the Pestilent Sickle if you can use this for the natural damage alone. Sickle procs about once a monster typically. If it does an extra 20% damage (it's DPS is about 20% higher), but still procs once a fight.. I'll take it.

you may only EVER get this drop off the particular creature once per character. on that very first time the creature is killed, the item will automatically appear in your inventory. after that, no longer. it will automatically appear in every character's inventory who was part of the killing group who satisfies the level requirement and has not gotten the drop from this creature previously. you can have the same item in your inventory (from someone else's drop) and still get it.

I call the proc that this sword does a "Toilet Flush" cuz it makes a cool blue swirl effect and it sounds like one of those high-powered toilets.

I know it does some sort of proc thingy... I can target myself or a mob or whatever and hit the hotkey and it makes a spell effect, but then says I can't use the crecent reaver in this way....

Spifnar named imp at rats 2 drops it and to update the above at level 36 it will start to proc with a Cold Damage spell causing 80-110 damage.

He just said, Spifnar a named Cruachon imp. Must be level 35 to obtain it however, and if you kill him with a bunch of level 35's everyone will get the sword.

Dropped by Spifnar a named Cruachon (sp?) imp above the curm smoker camp and lake. Also near rat 1 and 2 and lake which is next to the Mist Wraths and Gray spectre area just outside Drium Ligen.
