DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Aylarn says, "Is it true you are a [protector] of Midgard?" Aylarn says, "I have heard rumors of an evil creature that wears a magical cloak. Perhaps you would like me to [share the tale] I heard." You have been given the Reach of the Shadow quest. Aylarn says, "One rainy night, a wild man came out of the lands directly behind our tent. He kept babbling about evil spectres and weird mages summoning creatures for the night. I thought he had lost his mind until the same thing happened a [few nights] later." Aylarn says, "A young dwarf came stumbling out of the brush and cried for hours. He said he was the son of Arik of Haggerfel. He said he was only 14 winters old and had become [lost]." Aylarn says, "He said a strange robed creature that called herself Ulga, had led him into the forest in promise of adventure and [cast some magic] on him. He said he wandered the forest for the last two nights." Aylarn says, "I did not have the heart to explain to him what had happened. If there is a creature stealing life wandering about the forest, then someone should put an end to that. Don't you think?" Aylarn says, "I would start by looking in the forest where the travelers came from. You might find something off in that direction. Be wary my friend. We wouldn't want to have to go hunting for you as well. [Step #1] Travel deep into the forest and find Ulga. To find Ulga, from Aylarn (in front of lean-to) run west, then you'll see the tower and the camp of Bloodfellags. At the camp take the path and head a bit northwest (maybe a bit more north than west) then we saw her wandering around. *Alternate directions: Go to Audliten, go north across the bridge and take a left at the crossroad. Follow that trail a ways until you get to the top of the hill where there is another crossroad. Take a left (If you go right, you will end up at the West Gate). Follow the path until the next crossroad. There are 2 stumps, one on the south side of the path and one on the north side. If you stand next to the one on the south side and point yourself due South, go forward and you will run into a tree. Just past that tree is where I saw her each time. I hope this helps reduce some of your search time. Be careful, there are also some wolfpacks running around there too. Ulga conned blue at lvl 15 Approximate Loc sights (she does roam): 34560,21480 32525, 23114 36448, 22846 37500, 19300 34600, 22300 Kill Ulga, she conned blue to a level 15. She did attack, did not have to provoke her. You receive a Driftspirit Cloak from Ulga! You have finished the Reach of the Shadow quest. You get 15094 experience points. Reward: |

i've got the quest, and in my journal it says i am to find ulga. I have found Ulga twice, tried speaking to her, and she says nothing, so i killed her both times. Nothing has happened, in my journal it still says i am to find ulga! any ideas?

You can get this quest when you reach lvl 15, not 16.
My partner and i stumbled over Ulga when we where on a run for our gravestones ;)
From Aylarn run west, then you'll see the tower and the camp of Bloodfellags. At the camp take the street and head a bit northwest (maybe a bit more north than west) then we saw her wandering around. Be careful, there are also some wolfpacks running around there too. Ulga conned blue at lvl 15 and dropped the cloak, very nice for casters. It is a hooded cloak, already colored in yellow btw ;)

I found her North-East of that blodfeleg fort. But be careful with the wolves patroling around (some are running)

Wigdala's instructions are perfect. I followed them to the spot (Loc 32525, 23114), and she was still up at 11:35 a.m. game time.
(By "West Gate" he means the gate to Yggdra Forest.)

I spent 3 nights (game time) searching for Ulga while reading these post. I finally found her. I have watched her spawn several times since and each time, I saw her spawn in the same spot. Here is what to do. Go to Audliten, go north across the bridge and take a left at the crossroad. Follow that trail a ways until you get to the top of the hill where there is another crossroad. Take a left (If you go right, you will end up at the West Gate). Follow the path until the next crossroad. There are 2 stumps, one on the south side of the path and one on the north side. Great directions Wigalo! One thing though, I was hunting with a friend for her, and he found Ulga southeast of the southern stump. She may have been walking around, but I dont know. When hitting her, let her summon her wayward ghouls because that gives you more time for a ranged attack or spells. This is because of the fact that wayward ghouls are about Lvl 3. The Blodfeg fort is west of the fort across the bridge from Audliten. My 10th lvl healer had been given bad directions on how to reach a small village, and went down the road. Avoiding lots of nasty hostile purple con mobs, she saw a big fort (on the right hand fork of the road), and ran into it for safety. OOPS!!!! Fortunately no mobs were near the gate, so once she conned a mob there, she backtracked very quickly, and forgot about doing a task to that town ever again....

On the western path from the Aud tower, there are two stumps at a crossroads, just south of that point at loc 34560,21480 is where I found Ulga.
given that i have no idea where Blodfeng fort is, which direction do i go to, the discription says west, but one of you says cross the bridge to the guard tower , as if there is one guard tower ? and one bridge , and only one t-intersection.
use directions as in
from huginfel go south-east etc etc, find road, etc etc , there u'll see the T in question etc etc and there she spawns. mind u i have no idea where she spawns i just want good accurate , understandable directions since i've spent some time looking =)

I've Camped this T for 3 nights straight without seeing Ugla.. Does anyone have any other ideas where Ugla might spawn..

To find the T in the road he is mentioning... From Audliten, cross the bridge to the guard tower. Take a LEFT at the road, and follow the road a long way, until you come to the T. After about several minutes of looking in the area, finally killed her. Got lost, received bad directions back to town, died and frustrated. My tombstone still stands somewhere out there to this day.

This is a great cloak for anyone using Piety until 25, when you can kill Gokstorm in Muspelheim for Firestorm, a 3 piety 8% fire resistance and one other stat cloak. Nice upgrade to this one.

Ulga spawns near the T on the path to the Blodfeng fort. Just a bit east of there. She's an extremely common spawn and is aggressive. Easy to kill for a lvl 16 healer. She's a nasty hitter, but I could still take her down. Easy quest for anyone 15+.
