DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Some may not get this quest, a prerequisite quest may be required. Given by Kaenia, the robe merchant, in Tir na mBeo (inside the center building, direction is West). Initially to test your trustworthiness, you are sent with a letter to Kaenia's sister, Bria, to aid her with a troublesome curmudgeon. Bria is located on a farm north of the bridge near Ardee. You reach the farm by following the river (do not cross the bridge). At the farm, Bria will request the demise of the "wandering curmudgeon", asking you to bring its head to her. It is a single curmudgeon standing in a field with nothing else. It con'd yellow to me at lvl 24. Once accomplished, you return to Kaenia with a letter from Bria reporting your aid to her. At this point, Kaenia sends you to the valley of Bri Leith with another letter to Ailidh. She can be found southeast of Caille just off the road, west of the mushrooms, standing in the shadow of a large stone circle 9Loc=20,45 Valley of Bri Leith near Brynach). Ailidh tells you of a nasty Faerie Drake named Tric (who has grown lethargic) that is holding a magic shield. She gives you directions to reach Tric with instruction to kill him to obtain the shield. You are warned not to hurt any of the Empyreans at your own risk. To find Tric, travel west just outside Caille to a log on the left side of the road. Turn North (right) and head straight up the hill. Tric will be found at the top of the ridge surround by about a dozen Empyrean Guardians. They were neutral to me, so no problems were encountered with them. Tric is also neutral and I was able to walk straight up to him and initiate combat. Tric con'd yellow to me (again, at lvl 24). /loc is Valley of Bri Leith: loc=47009,21453 Were not offered quest: 24 Hero 25 Eldritch 26 Enchanter 27 Hero 24 Druid 27 Bainshee Reward: |

FYI - Bria is located at the parth farm in NW Connacht. It's just easier to go directly to it than following the winding river. I'd ride to Druim Ligen and go W from there to it.
Also, Ailidh is located at 20,45 Valley of Bri Leith near Brynach. It's easier just to jump horse at Brynach and head West to the circle of standing stones.

The directions for Tric are off. You travel north on the road through Caille until you see the log on the west or left side of the road. You then turn east, and head up the hill to the top and very slightly down the other side, around this area you'll being seeing a lot of empyrean guardians, this is where Tric is. /loc is Valley of Bri Leith: loc=47009,21453

I killed Tric last night. I am a level 24 warden and the shield is great for a level 24 warden :). Tric is uphill in the trees with the empyream folk. In fact I saw him inside a tree... The gaven directions are a bit imprecise but it s not hard to find the mean drake. He is blue skinned and cast prismatic flare. It was yellow to me but easily soloed. Easier than the curmudgeon I had to kill before. (loc +/- 44k, 21k)

Anybody knows where to find Tric, I been introduced to the Empyean Family from Watcher, Keeper, Sential, Guardians and elders but I still cannot find Tric.
Someone please give a /loc or a specific guide.

someone help me im a 27th season hero ((spear hero)) nearly completely spec'ed in parry and Spear. Hibirina Guineveer server. I do have 3 adds in large weapons and Blades both.
Well i cant get the quest ... anyone have any idea why... any help would be great... i want that shield!!

Just so you know, if your holding a spear, bow, or any 2-handed weapon you will not get the bonuses for the shield. Even if it's equiped.

Any clue where this NPC is at? I looked every where and could not find him/her.
I did find Tric the the NE of Caille.
When I went East of Caille past the valley and over the hill I found a large grouping of standing stones, not really a ring. They were surrounded by Empreayn's but no Ailidh character.

On the way to Caille, you should see two giant mushrooms, Ailidh is just on the west hidden under the shadow of one of the stones there.

I was thinking, I'm a enchantress and have absolutely no use of the shield, so, before trying to get his quest I would like to know if this is one of the tradable items, as in, can I give it to some NPC and get something useful back ?:)

My level 24 Blunt/shield Hero couldn't get the quest from Kaenia... I really want this shield. Are there any prerequisite quests?

Wtf you talking about "you suck"? You dont pay for this... this site is twice as good as warcry imo. The search engine is 100% easier to use and although there are some errors and items listed w/o descriptions its still easy enough to piece together where the items drop. W/o free sites like this most people in daoc wouldnt have anywhere near as many items so show some gratitude.
this is Hibernian quest. And just to add - this is a very fine piece of a shield, did it back in beta. It's Large Shield with bonuses, forgot those tho :-)

don't you check these things first?
I am sure most (if not all) of the submissions to this site are checked for accuracy as much as possible, but it is near impossible for anyone to verify every quest. If the website editor did that, we'd never get the information til we were already beyond the max level for the quests, items, etc. I agree that at the very least the provided zone should be verified for the appropriate realm, but it's the person who submitted the data who needs to proofread 9 times out of 10. Keep up the good work on this site, and all you who are submitting info, keep it up, and keep it good (and accurate)!
