DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Caitriona, in Ardagh, has had her jewels snitched by a thieving water beetle named Clik and she needs help getting them back. Head up the coast and look for water beetles. First kill any that you see and you will soon be collecting stolen jewelry. AFTER you get three pieces (necklace, earring, ring) go search for Clik, he is usually found in the water. Warning he will call for help. Kill Clik and loot his carapace and return all four items to Caitriona for a reward. Clik spawns in the small bay just southeast of Mag Mell, approx loc is - 28785, 18463, 4587, usually on the southern end. Reward: |

This quest was not given to my Nightshade after meeting minimum level requirements.
Makes sense, since NS's don't spec shield anyhow.

any 3 water beetles will give you the jewelry, from connla to ardee, really doesn't matter.
clik really does spawn in the beetle camp south of mag mell. just hang in there and keep looking. don't forget to check both in the water and on shore. he'll pop eventually.

According to the Strategy Guide, one must be of the Guardian Classes or a Warden to get this Quest.

Caitriona never spoke to me :(
In Ardagh there is a Filidh walking on the path.
I right clic on it and he told me to see Caitriona: I got the quest by this way.

Got three pieces of jewelry off various beetles but still no Clik. I went to the exact coordinates listed several times the last few days and still no sign of him. Does he always spawn or only when you have the jewelry?

I just finished the quest (lvl 9 hero) with the help of a very kind ranger of the Bloodguard guild. (MY thanks to the very helpful people of Bloodguard, they have always exhibited the desire to help others).
I had to kill three beetles and swim around the horseshoe about 3 minutes. I kept pressing F8 to select nearest enemy and then finally located Click. The ranger targeted, while in the water, and I guarded the ranger and finished Click. Click was yellow to me at level 9. No other beetles were summoned.
Note that my Bard did not get this quest as he is a small shield only guy and click's shield is medium.

Just got this quest as a Lv25 Blademaster. Figured I might as well do it :)
Stupidly enough I went out and killed Clik! first then killed the other beatles, then realised where I'd gone wrong....*waits for Click! to respawn lol*
As I understand it, Click! spawns in the middle of that horseshoe'd bay just outside of Mag Mall.
He may call for backup when low on hp too.

it is a medium shield. Rangers use small shields. that is what is up, you have to be able to use the shield to do the quest more than likely.

just so you know Clik doesnt seem to spawn till you have already killed two beetles and got two pieces of catrionas jewlery (necklace & earrings i think) then Clik spawns in water just as described above and yes he it quite tough cos he calls in his buddies when he gets badly injured.

I'm with Hagrid -- Caitriona just won't give me the quest. I've asked her at least twice a level since 8, and all I get is FedEx jobs. really annoying, ' cause Clik can't hide under water from us lurikeens!

Clik is found just on the coast just SouthEast of Mag Mell in the little bend if you will. You just have to wait around for him to appear and hope someone does not KS him like what happened to me once. I am a Champion and the shield works just fine for me.

Cant find him. Looked all round the water in the water etc. This is rediculous. He is nowhere near mag mel

I didnt even get the quest yet, but i'd heard of it. While i was running from mbeo to MM i was randomly clicking in the water (just because) and found click, right near shore. I killed him pretty easily (blue to lvl 12) and then decided to go to ardagh to actually do the quest, but she won't give it to me either, and i should be able to do the quest, because im a bard...

Where do you see Mag Mell? The quest obviously starts in Ardagh, which is no where near MM.

Before you critizize other peoples intelligence be sure to know what they're asking. It says(if you read it) that Clik spawns in the small bay near ****Mag Mel**** key word there.

Caitriona dont gave me the quest :(
I am a level 12 Warden. Got the shield before the "nerf". I use this shield and it works fine fore me and yes the magic works too. I would try equiping it unless it is now specifically labeled as unusable and therefore is uneqipable.

That's not true. It is NOT nerfed. I just received the quest yesterday with my lvl 9 warden, completed it with no trouble, and love my new shield.

NOT nerfed, did the quest today as a 15 Warden. Gave the shield away to a young tot that could make better use of it.
This quest is actually the Clik's raids quest. At least thet is what it was called when I did it.

Today I was running past the water and was hitting my F8 key, searching for beasties and Clik's name came up. I was on the shore SE of Mag Mell. That seems to be an effective way of finding Clik.

Just completed this quest. Click spawned in the water south of MagMell. The exact loc is - 28785, 18463, 4587. After following him around in the water for about 10 minutes and realizing it was going to take a while before he decided to go to land, i just attacked him in the water. He was yellow to a lvl 10 Hero. 1/2 thru the fight he called for help and i was promplty slaughtered by an army of beetles. Went back after him, this time he was blue and did not call for help. Killed him easily and got the piece.

Excellent hint! Found Clik in a minute. Lvl 11 Warden, Clik conned blue for me, the shield ended up being +6HP and +2Fire Resist.

At level 9 most can't use a medium shield. Once you hit level 10 tho, your armor abilities change and you should be able to use the medium shield. Remember, this quest is a level 10 quest.

Yeah I just completed the same quest, wasn't all that difficult besides killing Clik. I did it while I was a level 9 druid. Firstly, you have to kill Water Beatles which lie just outside of Mag Mell. They give you the jewels, make sure you have room in your sack. Killing Clik was difficult, at level 9 he was red to me! A fellow Eldritch did some damage for me and I finished him off. *Note* - Make sure you get the kill, lots of people try to come by and vulch it from you.

Does Clik have a spawn time? I am going to the water right south of mag mell, but am having no luck finding the bugger.

I had been given this quest shortly after reaching my 9th season. Finding clik took some effort even with the fine directions from verteran players. Once I found the scoundral, I required the help of a fellow druid to mend my wounds whilst I dispatched the beast.
I recieved about 3 bubbles of exp, about 3 silver and the afformentioned shield which provided I believe a +6 to my HP and +3% to fire resist. However it is a shame that the shield con's green to my Warden already and since this is a well known quest and the reward is the same regardless of class, I would imangine having trouble selling the item to another player.
