DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different The fourth of the Dragonslayer miniquests. Speak to Skipta after completing the Getting Up To Speed miniquest. Skipta says: "Ah, just who I wanted to see. Could you do me a wee favor?" "When I retired, I cast my Spear off the Vasudheim bridge."Why?" Well it's a long story, involving ale and promises and dramatic speeches. I'm afraid I don't remember it too perfectly myself. What I do know is that I need that spear again if I'm to be of any use. "I keep meaning to go after it myself, but one thing after another just keeps coming up and I never got around to it." "Weapons that are used to slay dragons are magically warded, so it should still be in fine shape, just waiting there at the bottom of the stream. Will you go after it for me?" The dialog box tells you to "Help Skipta retrieve her old weapon. It is somewhere in the stream near Vasudheim bridge. Find the Spear, pick it up off the bottom, and return it to Skipta." Head for Vasudheim. The spear in on the river bottom North of the West end of the bridge to Jordheim, at loc=57,368, 16,845. You might want to blow a water breathing (Nereid potion) to let you breathe while you dive for it; the spear is "can not be picked up," and at least when I did it it took several "gets" and double-clickings before the journal said that I had succeeded in getting the thing.(This is another non-inventory item that exists only in your journal.) Return to Skipta in Huginfel. She says: "Ah, my old friend. We had some good times, didn't we? Well it's back to work for us both, now. "Thank you for returning my spear to me, (name). She's mighty hungry, after all this time. I suppose I am too, in a way." "To battle!" reward: 6,300,000 exp, 2 gold and some change |
