Be prepared that he may simply attack you. Afterwards, travel to Innis Carthaig and speak with Whiltierna. She was a good friend of his and would like to know what happened to him." Log says: Approach Buanif in the Bog of Cullen and fight him if need be. You may need to defeat Enda to make him show himself. Once he is dead, speak to Whiltierna in Innis Carthaig. Then, return to Falorn in Tir na mBeo. Quest goal: Defeat Buanif. Buanif is in the Dragonsworn camp in the Bog of Cullen, /loc 4000, 18000. Dragonsworn will attack even if they are not aggressive! Buanif is a Lurikeen Ranger conning blue to lvl 46. Other Dragonsworn there were green or blue to me at 46. Buanif says: "I just want you to know, I have nothing against you, Celt. But I must kill you!" Buanif will drop the item To Buanif of Connla. According to a CSR, this item is there to hint that this NPC is involved in a quest and can be safely destroyed. You do not need this item for this quest. Every player will get this item the first time he or she or his or her group kills Buanif, at any level, with or without this quest. After killing Buanif: Buanif says: "I Have failed you... my daughter... save her, Merikonstantine, save her..." Quest goal: Speak with Whiltierna Whiltierna is a Lurikeen standing outside a building in Innis Carthaig, /loc 48744, 39461 Lough Gur. Whiltierna says: "Greetings, friend. Have you heard of any new developments with the [Dragonsworn] in your travels?" Whiltierna says: "Yes, you see I had heard that a friend of mine named Buanif had gone off to join their ranks, but that makes no sense. Buanif is a good man. He even has a young [daughter] that he loves dearly." Whiltierna says: "They kidnapped her?! Poor Buanif, no wonder he joined them. It's a shame that you had to kill him, but I know he would have fought to the death against anyone to protect [his child] ." Whiltierna says: "Do not worry, I know several other Nightshades and Rangers who were friends of Buanif. Together we will see that she is brought back safely. If only Buanif had come to us first, his death could have been avoided. He will be greatly missed." Falorn says: "So it was all to protect his daughter. At least his soul may be able to rest once his friends rescue her."
